Job Number: <span id=\"Job Number\">1058011<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"More...\" src=\"https:\/\/nigeriajoblist.com\/wp-includes\/js\/tinymce\/plugins\/wordpress\/img\/trans.gif\" alt=\"\" \/><\/span><strong><span><label for=\"Role Summary\/Purpose\">Role  Summary\/Purpose<\/label><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Working as an Immigration Specialist in the international assignment management operation of GE, you will have the chance to prove your passion for change, creativity and teamwork.<\/p>\n<p>Global Mobility Services (GMS) offers you personal and professional growth by providing you with challenging opportunities supporting GE globally.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You will help the GMS immigration team continue to be successful by contributing your talents to monitor and assist immigration processes; achieve operational objectives; maintain immigration controls; assist customers and ensure controllership and compliance with legal and business requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with local immigration laws and internal policies<\/li>\n<li>Oversee and assist in managing cross-border moves into region of responsibility and ensure moves are made compliantly and in an efficient fashion<\/li>\n<li>Collect, collate and analyze data to support the immigration compliance  program in a timely and efficient manner<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with appropriate stakeholders Regional Leader, Corporate Tax, and  various businesses<\/li>\n<li>Recognize immediate compliance concerns for escalation to Global Leader<\/li>\n<li>Maintain compliance requirements for operational procedural manuals<\/li>\n<li>Protect the organization\u2019s value by keeping information confidential<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications\/Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelors degree or equivalent work experiences.<\/li>\n<li>3+ years of experience in an immigration compliance role<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of international relations, prevailing international landscape  and impact upon business.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to stand up to business pressures and enforce compliance<\/li>\n<li>Ability to know when to escalate issues<\/li>\n<li>Superior organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize  work<\/li>\n<li>Quick to learn and adapt<\/li>\n<li>Advanced computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word,  Outlook).<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with issues of compliance for international regulations<\/li>\n<li>Excellent attention to detail and willingness to take initiative<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in spoken and written English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Characteristics<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Self-Motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills<\/li>\n<li>French and Arabic language skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/xjobs.brassring.com\/1033\/ASP\/TG\/cim_advsearch.asp?SID=^iqzjZhHpo0ppkjgwUwJ8xBBFxAMooOuPg4ZsXyI8F\/9S6zoNBi650Vp_slp_rhc__slp_rhc_lyk0dgu1nvtoM8Fs_slp_rhc_DO_C_R__L_F_1C\/C0G9vjQAV1_slp_rhc_9en_slp_rhc_KiiBAsKuL\/gj8=&amp;ref=92200912158\">Click here to apply directly on GE website<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GE is a global infrastructure, \ufb01nance and media company taking on the world\u2019s toughest challenges.
