It demands people who will thrive in a culture that encourages and rewards innovation, collaboration and the ability to learn from success as well as failure.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCO)<\/strong> uses advanced cutting edge technologies in \u2018frontier\u2019 deepwater areas of over 1,000 metres. The Bonga deepwater discovery made in 1995 increased Nigeria\u2019s crude reserves by some 600 million barrels.<\/p>\n<p>SNEPCO is a rapidly growing company comprising a range of large operated and non-operated deep and shallow water assets. The production operations support, plus well and reservoir surveillance, subsurface and well delivery work for SNEPCO is currently being migrated from the global technical partners to Lagos-based staff.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re currently looking to recruit a Head of Offshore Air Operations to join us in Lagos.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities:<\/strong><br \/>\nOversee safe and efficient offshore helicopter services,managing a large team of aviation staff and contractors in Lagos.<br \/>\nEnsure sound HSSE and financial management of aviation contract;<br \/>\nManage introduction of new generation helicopters,ensuring aircraft,helidecks and support facilities are maintained in full compliance with national regulations and Shell Group safety and technical standards.<br \/>\nOversee and prioritise helicopter operations,striving to achieve optimal use of resources,including sharing with other oil companies where possible.<br \/>\nEngage with air operators,other oil companies and regulatory authorities to improve the safety of aviation in Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements: <\/strong><br \/>\nHolder of Airline Transport Pilot\u2019s Licence (Helicopters) with Instrument Rating, and a minimum of 10 years\u2019 experience as a commercial pilot, including flying helicopters in support of offshore oil and gas industry.<br \/>\nDeep understanding of current industry best practice and international aviation safety requirements.<br \/>\nExperience as a training captain, flight safety officer, managment pilot or air accident investigator.<br \/>\nExperience of negotiating and managing contracts.<br \/>\nExperience as an aviation adviser or auditor.<\/p>\n<p>Application Deadline: Saturday 22 August 2009<\/p>\n<p>Number of Vacancies: 1<\/p>\n<p>Shell is an Equal Opportunity Employer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Shell Nigeria E &amp;
