\nShell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCO) uses advanced cutting edge technologies in \u2018frontier\u2019 deepwater areas of over 1,000 metres. The Bonga deepwater discovery made in 1995 increased Nigeria\u2019s crude reserves by some 600 million barrels.
\nSNEPCO is a rapidly growing company comprising a range of large operated and non-operated deep and shallow water assets. In addition to managing very major projects, activities done by our local-based staff include technical integrity management, production operations support, well and reservoir surveillance, subsurface and well delivery work. These activities are growing and worth billions of dollars.
\nWe\u2019re currently looking to recruiting experienced engineering professionals into our Deepwater Projects organisation to support effective management of our growing activities.
\nJob Responsibilities:<\/strong>
\nThis experienced professional will be supporting asset integrity and delivery projects from the front-end through execution and commissioning towards value maximisation. She\/He will be responsible for delivering safe,cost\/schedule effective and efficient projects; and will be looked up to as important contributors to ongoing projects realization and strategic cost leadership practices within the Deep water Projects organisation. We therefore need competent Nigerian Engineering professionals with deepwater experience who have spent at least 5 years (post-NYSC) focused on practicing the discipline<\/p>\n

Job Requirements:<\/strong>
\nA recognized Bachelors degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
\n\u00b7At least 8 years experience in rotating equipment engineering.
\n\u00b7HSE commitment and leadership, including intervening to stop unsafe behaviours and customary work practices.
\n\u00b7Knowledge of existing standards and ability to develop mechanical engineering system functionality requirements for new deep-water development projects.
\n\u00b7Solid understanding of rotating equipment across the entire lifecycle, especially commissioning, operating and troubleshooting.
\n\u00b7Experience in managing the settings of safety critical element protection systems.
\n\u00b7Abilities in a few of the following areas is required: analysis and design of
\nrotating equipment, equipment specification,\u00a0dynamic analysis of equipment installed on floating systems, risk and reliability, project planning and economics.
\n\u00b7Initiative to implement reliability upgrades using Technical Authority and Management of Change Systems.
\n\u00b7Experience \u00a0overseeing repair work and acceptance tests in supplier facilities.
\n\u00b7Excellent computer skills, with emphasis on troubleshooting packages is a requirement.
\n\u00b7Excellent PC skills, with emphasis on using process historian systems like PI and SmartConnect to support engineering assessments of machine conditions.
\n\u00b7Motivating and coaching less experienced colleagues.
\n\u00b7Collaborate with colleagues in New Orleans, Houston, Rijswijk, Kuala Lumpur, Bangalore and Aberdeen to deliver quality and seamless service to our customers as needed.
\nCapturing and instilling standard \u201cbest practices\u201d, work processes, systems, and tools based on Group experiences realized from execution subsea projects.<\/p>\n
