\"\"<\/a>Shell Nigeria<\/strong> Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCO) uses advanced cutting edge technologies in \u2018frontier\u2019 deepwater areas of over 1,000 metres. The Bonga deepwater discovery made in 1995 increased Nigeria\u2019s crude reserves by some 600 million barrels.
\nSNEPCO is a rapidly growing company comprising a range of large operated and non-operated deep and shallow water assets. In addition to managing very major projects, activities done by our local-based staff include technical integrity management, production operations support, well and reservoir surveillance, subsurface and well delivery work. These activities are growing and worth billions of dollars.
\nWe\u2019re currently looking to recruiting experienced engineering professionals into our Deepwater Projects organisation to support effective management of our growing activities.
\nJob Responsibilities:<\/strong>
\nThis experienced professional will be supporting asset integrity and delivery projects from the front-end through execution and commissioning towards value maximisation. She\/he will be responsible for delivering safe,cost\/schedule effective and efficient projects; and will be looked up to as important contributors to ongoing projects realization and strategic cost leadership practices within the Deep water Projects organisation. We therefore need competent Nigerian Engineering professionals with deepwater experience who have spent at least 8 years (post-NYSC) focused on practicing the disciplineJob Requirements:<\/strong>
\n\u00b7A Bachelors Degree in Engineering, plus minimum of 15 years experience in Construction related activities, with at least 10 years experience directly related to offshore construction.
\n\u00b7A good understanding of Industry, DEPs and Shell construction Standards related to deepwater facilities, with the ability to challenge same if needed.
\n\u00b7Played a significant role on a major project.
\n\u00b7Familiar with project development challenges in Nigeria or in other regions with similar challenges.
\n\u00b7Demonstrated capability to proactively implement plans, follow through with sustained execution, and to meet project milestones.
\n\u00b7Good supervisory qualities and experience, including good communication skills.
\n\u00b7A strong proactive\u00a0commitment and demonstrable effectiveness in HSSE management is essential. \u00b7Demonstrated evidence of Enterprise first values and behaviours will be taken into account during the selection process.
\n\u00b7Proven ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team as well and to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
\n\u00b7Ability to deal with multiple, often conflicting, goals and priorities
\n\u00b7Demonstrated effectiveness in driving change.
\n\u00b7Strong interpersonal skills \u2013 able to influence and develop relationships across disciplines and culture, be comfortable coaching and motivating others, and delivering through others.
\n\u00b7Excellent communication skills.
\n\u00b7\u00a0Skillful at leading through influence.
