Job Title: Operator \u2013 G29<\/p>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Ibadan Factory \nReference Number: NGIB\/SMD\/01 \nRemuneration: Competitive \nReports to:\u00a0 Team Leader<\/p>\n
Principal Accountabilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\nUse either control mechanism or direct physical activity to operate machinery and equipment to manufacture cigarettes .<\/li>\n Carry out quality inspection of product at set regular interval and record findings \/ carrying out necessary adjustment to deliver high quality product that meet customer satisfaction<\/li>\n Monitor all raw material require for cigarette manufacturing activities and ensure that the right materials are used all the time in the manufacturing of cigarettes.<\/li>\n Combining the Message coming from the Machine HMI or message alert centre plus product quality observation and general machine performance, report faults and issues on the machine to the Technician in a way that will facilitate quick resolution of technical problems<\/li>\n Ensures that BAT EHS guidelines are followed when manufacturing cigarettes on production machine.<\/li>\n Carry out daily and weekly maintenance or planned activities according to prescribed procedures to ensure efficient machine performance.<\/li>\n Complete relevant documents\/checklists as prescribed in order to ensure availability of accurate operating and maintenance data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nKnowledge, Skills and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n\nMinimum of 2 years experience operating a GD121 \/ GDX2 \/GDX3\/KDF2 Machine.<\/li>\n Must pass the Operational proficiency test.<\/li>\n Spatial \/ Abstract Reasoning\/ Hand-Eye Coordination.<\/li>\n Very good team player, Self-driven, creative and proactive.<\/li>\n Motivation (ability to motivate team members to deliver great results)<\/li>\n Abiliy to work under pressure with little or no supervision<\/li>\n Ability to relate with colleagues and other stakeholder through effective use of oral and written communications.<\/li>\n Physical abilities according to man-task specifications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nKey Outputs:<\/strong> \nThe jobholder has to operate within the following legal requirements and has a personal responsibility to adhere to:<\/p>\n\nFactories Act of Federal Government of Nigeria<\/li>\n BAT EHS Policy and guidelines.<\/li>\n SMD Team \u2013 Maintain close relations with user department (SMD PMD,Engineering,QA etc)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nJob Qualification<\/strong> \nJob holder must possess either an O\u2019 Level School certificate , Trade Test certificate, City & Guilds of London certificate or National Diploma certificate in Mechanical Engineering. \n \nEquity statement:<\/strong> \nBAT Nigeria is an equal opportunities employer.
