We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Head, Automobile Assembly<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos Island, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The assembly manager oversees the entire manufacturing process and ensures the assembly or production process adheres to policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>His\/her job is to handle the cost efficiency, quality and safety throughout the manufacturing process.<\/li>\n<li>Assembly managers also works with other personnel to find cost effective and quality materials used in the process, constantly looking for ways to cut costs and streamline processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work to ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that team members follow defined assembly procedures and comply with quality requirements<\/li>\n<li>Ensure full adherence to 5S practices at all times<\/li>\n<li>Ensure equipment is within calibration date and all systems are functioning correctly<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all records are completed appropriately<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that non-conforming material is clearly identified and segregated<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the escalation procedure for quality concerns is followed<\/li>\n<li>Ensure achievement of production throughput against stated capacity targets<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the team are aware of day to day targets and responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Manage work order closures and stock control transactions<\/li>\n<li>Maintain visible lead for adherence to procedures and instructions<\/li>\n<li>Carry out incident, accident and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure<\/li>\n<li>Monitor change over and\/or line set up efficiency<\/li>\n<li>Prepare line set-ups for following shifts, including first piece buyoffs<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and maintain all safety equipment and tools<\/li>\n<li>Undertake continuous training and development<\/li>\n<li>Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems<\/li>\n<li>Identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation<\/li>\n<li>Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, key performance indicators (KPI\u2019s) including the engagement of external resources as required<\/li>\n<li>Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that team members follow defined assembly procedures and comply with quality requirements<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for training of operators for products and processes within the local team<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for daily management and support for the team to achieve operational success<\/li>\n<li>Monitor time and attendance and ensure compliance with Company procedures<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical expertise to the team and respond to operator queries<\/li>\n<li>Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of them<\/li>\n<li>Review, implement and update company records e.g. training matrices, absenteeism, risk assessments<\/li>\n<li>Communicate KPIs from the strategic annual plan so that each employee is aware of expectations and deliverables.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree or HND in Engineering or related field<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 10-12 years\u2019 related experience<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to work towards professional accreditation with an industry related body<\/li>\n<li>Experience of leading small group activities to drive improvement ideas<\/li>\n<li>Strong PC skills and experience of packages such as Standard Analyses: Purchasing Information System (SAP) and Excel<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and recognised QC tools<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Health &amp;
