We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Team Member, Insurance<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos, Nigeria<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Objective:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bank-wide insurance coverage of all bank assets insurable risks at optimal cost.<\/li>\n<li>Prompt processing of insured risks claims.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Roles &amp; Responsibilities:<\/strong><br \/>\nInsurance Underwriting:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reviewing and updating Corporate Insurance Policies to reflect best practices &amp; reduce cost.<\/li>\n<li>Placing on cover (through the broker) of all assets and insurable risks.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all vehicles under the bank&#8217;s sinking fund scheme are promptly placed on 3rd party cover with the underwriters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Insurance Claim Processing:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure all insured loss incidents are reported promptly to the underwriters through our brokers.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all documents required for successful insurance claims are obtained from relevant business offices and head office departments, reviewed and forwarded promptly to the lead underwriter through the insurance broker<strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Insurance Administration:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintenance of insurance claims log &#8211; losses reported, claims pending full documentation, claims pending offer and discharged claims awaiting settlement by underwriters.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with brokers\/ business offices\/ head office departments to ensure loss adjusters receive the required cooperation and documents promptly.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure outstanding offers and cheques are received promptly by ensuring broker follows up vigorously with the underwriters.<\/li>\n<li>Monthly Reconciliation \/ Proofing of insurance GLs including reconciliation of sinking fund records with statements from the fund manager.<\/li>\n<li>Processing of claims made under the Insurance sinking fund scheme (TAT is 5 days)\u00a0 Maintenance of quality filling system and record keeping.<\/li>\n<li>Any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Education Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First degree in any related field.<\/li>\n<li>Possession of relevant masters degree \/ Professional certification will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>None.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/jobs\/view\/2498093192\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>Not Specified.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA) is one of Africa&#8217;s leading financial institutions, with operations in 19 African countries and 3 global financial centres: London, Paris and New York.
