We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Port Harcourt, Rivers<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure sound and correct equipment\/package\/system specification(s) is\/are produced.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the design(s) from vendor(s) is fit-for-purpose and meet the requirements of applicable code(s) of practice.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate and attend FAT and ensure that the equipment\/package\/system supplied meet requirements of relevant specification.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with other discipline engineers to ensure the overall objective is achieved.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure sound data management and filing of documents in mechanical engineering department.<\/li>\n<li>Circulate for squad check, drawings, specifications, datasheets, RFQs and TBEs.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with Contracts &amp; Procurement department for vendor assessment, the preparation of bidder lists, RFQ\u2019s, TBE\u2019s, vendor document review, and final vendor appraisal.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with Proposals department for bid preparation, market strategy development, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with Expeditors and Quality Control Inspectors.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with Document Control department.<\/li>\n<li>Initiate Field Change Requests (FCRs), Comment Response Sheets (CRS), and Field Change Notices (FCNs) as required.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with the preventative maintenance program for equipment<\/li>\n<li>Provide input to the project critical items list as required.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare field material requisitions and tracking receipt of materials as required.<\/li>\n<li>Perform subcontracts coordination including administration of project back-charges.<\/li>\n<li>Review work packages and system \/ area turnovers including review of applicable turnover and as-built documents and inspection records required by the contract.<\/li>\n<li>Coaching, mentoring and development of others within the field engineering team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.Eng (2nd Class Upper) or equivalent with minimum of 10 years relevant experience.<\/li>\n<li>Membership (at chartered level) of a relevant engineering institution is highly desirable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Skills and Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to work as part of a team.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to provide technical direction, leadership and decision-making with minimal supervision or guidance.<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and willingness to teach\/learn.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in oil and gas sector is desirable.<\/li>\n<li>Rotating equipment engineering experience is highly desirable.<\/li>\n<li>Workshop experience is desirable.<\/li>\n<li>P&amp;ID literate, with the ability to liaise with process engineers and control engineers.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the timely delivery of equipment\/package\/system.<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of project execution processes.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal skills and good command of English Language are prerequisites for this position.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of breadth and depth of mechanical engineering needed to manage the quality control of contractor technical work; ensuring appropriate techniques, methods, and codes of practice are adopted.<\/li>\n<li>Commenting on documents and drawings in a constructive manner that identifies non compliance, errors, and improvement opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritise and organize work schedules.<\/li>\n<li>Able to react quickly and effectively when dealing with challenging situations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>To Apply:<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:careers@zetatechnologies.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>careers@zetatechnologies.com<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>29th May, 2021.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ZETA Technologies Nigeria Limited &#8211; We are a medium-sized engineering company providing services to the process industries with most of our clients from the oil and gas industry.
