They are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Station Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Victoria Island, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Our clients seek to hire a seasoned journalist\u00a0 (Expat or Indigenous) who has in-depth expertise and experience in journalism. Having global experience with strong contacts and understanding of journalism within and around the continent.<\/li>\n<li>Your role as\u00a0 Station Manager requires participating in cross-functional strategy and planning discussions and subsequent departmental execution.<\/li>\n<li>You are tasked with developing and executing strategic and operational plans for the Client&#8217;s business that results in audience growth and deepened community engagement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Managing the development and quality of daily programming content for the news station<\/li>\n<li>Initiating and leading the promotional, marketing, and social media strategy for the network.<\/li>\n<li>Partnering with the sales team to develop and implement sales promotional ideas.<\/li>\n<li>Acting as the primary liaison between the community and community groups and organizing appearances at community events.<\/li>\n<li>Entering production contracts and ensuring contracts are fulfilled.<\/li>\n<li>Organizing a weekly events list, including crew schedules, making changes as necessary and participating with a team in choosing events each week.<\/li>\n<li>Scheduling weekly events and the on-air talent to achieve the most programme and news specific, knowledgeable, and professional broadcast.<\/li>\n<li>Overseeing talent acquisition within the organisation.<\/li>\n<li>Communicating market issues, including production and budgetary items.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining knowledge of Traffic, Programming and Production industry standards and company processes.<\/li>\n<li>Planning and setting market project goals and milestones.<\/li>\n<li>Following and enforcing the Company\u2019s policies and procedures, including the key media guidelines always.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure team safety<\/li>\n<li>Performing any miscellaneous department duties as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>A Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Journalism or related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience<\/li>\n<li>15+ years of news production or related experience<\/li>\n<li>Control room experience required<\/li>\n<li>Experience in news production and script review<\/li>\n<li>Live line producing and experience handling breaking news, a proven ability to work well under pressure and deadline<\/li>\n<li>Strong writing and production skills<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding judgment, critical and strategic thinking, organization skills, and an ability to be persistent yet diplomatic<\/li>\n<li>Field producing experience strongly suggested<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to work an extended schedule as the news cycle and deadlines required<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates strong leadership skills.<\/li>\n<li>Communicates clearly and effectively.<\/li>\n<li>Works well with a team<\/li>\n<li>Exhibits strong problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains professional demeanour.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates knowledge of current media market trends.<\/li>\n<li>Exhibits familiarity with industry standards.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates ability to formulate and manage a realistic budget.<\/li>\n<li>Exhibits ability to think both creatively and analytically.<\/li>\n<li>Possesses excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Remuneration:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive along with other benefits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/jobs.smartrecruiters.com\/MyrtleManagementConsultants\/743999747900800-station-manager\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply online<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>30th May, 2021.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Interviews are on a rolling basis to this date<\/li>\n<li>Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Myrtle Management Consultants Limited &#8211; Our client is an International News Media company building a respected media brand, across television, mobile, and web.
