To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.<\/li>\n<li>Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on the financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring that we are compliant with our tax regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports<\/li>\n<li>Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions<\/li>\n<li>Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures<\/li>\n<li>Manage petty cash systems; disbursements and claims.<\/li>\n<li>Tracking Payments to internal and external stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control<\/li>\n<li>Processing Tax payments and returns<\/li>\n<li>Recommend, develop and maintain financial databases, computer software systems and manual filing systems<\/li>\n<li>Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company&#8217;s automated financial systems<\/li>\n<li>To oversee the preparation of annual and project-specific budgets for the unit and exercise control over expenditure.<\/li>\n<li>Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.<\/li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant Degree<\/li>\n<li>Additional certification (ACA) is a plus<\/li>\n<li>Work experience as an Accountant<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with accounting software like Sage and QuickBooks<\/li>\n<li>Advanced MS Excel skills.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with general ledger functions<\/li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>To Apply:<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their Resumes to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:info@vagangroup.com\"><strong>info@vagangroup.com<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>3rd June, 2021.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vagan Oil &amp; Gas Limited is a Nigerian Private Limited liability Company registered under the Companies Acts of 1990, In line with the policies of the Nigerian service provision.
