Examinations Council (WAEC)<\/strong>, a sub-regional organisation responsible for the conduct of a variety of examinations in the English-speaking West African countries, invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions at its Headquarters in Accra.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.)\u00a0 ASSISTANT REGISTRAR (PUBLIC AFFAIRS)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As an Assistant Registrar (Public Affairs), the candidate must have a clear understanding of the organisation\u2019s business objectives and be able to handle all aspects of the public affairs in the Council.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nThe eligible applicant will perform the following duties, among others:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Public\/Press Relations duties<\/li>\n<li>Organizing Council meetings\/ceremonies\/events<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining\/updating the Council\u2019s Website<\/li>\n<li>Production of WAEC Diary<\/li>\n<li>Production of WAEC Annual Reports<\/li>\n<li>Production of WAEC Season\u2019s Greeting Card<\/li>\n<li>Production of WAEC News<\/li>\n<li>Production of Registrar\u2019s Bulletin<\/li>\n<li>Drafting speeches<\/li>\n<li>Preparing folders for meetings<\/li>\n<li>Any other duties that might be assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Qualification<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants must have a good first degree in Mass Communication\/Communication Arts\/Journalism\/Public Relations.<\/li>\n<li>The applicant should have at least three years post qualification experience in a reputable establishment.<\/li>\n<li>The applicant should not be more than 40 years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Competencies\/Skills<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to use computers and Office software packages and knowledge of web-based systems<\/li>\n<li>Self motivated, ability to write good reports, analyse and review reports<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work extra hours and work with little or no supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal skills, team player, analytical and communication skill<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2.)\u00a0 ASSISTANT REGISTRAR \u2013 INTERNATIONAL EXAMINATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Specific Duties and responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be reporting to the Head International Examinations and will assist in handling the following duties among others;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitoring of Moderating Committee Meetings<\/li>\n<li>Compilation of reports<\/li>\n<li>Arranging for the various meetings handled by the Department.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Qualification &amp; Experience<br \/>\nApplicant must<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have a good University degree from a recognised University.<\/li>\n<li>Must have at least three years post qualification experience in relevant area.<\/li>\n<li>The applicant should not be more than forty years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Desirable Attributes<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High integrity, confidentiality and reliability<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable leadership ability<\/li>\n<li>Good writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy and internet skills<\/li>\n<li>Good organisational and co-ordination skills and be a results-oriented person<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Team player<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3.)\u00a0 ASSISTANT REGISTRAR \u2013 ADMINISTRATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Specific Duties and responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be reporting to the Head of Administration and will assist in handling the following duties among others;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assisting the Director of Administration in the day-to-day running of the Department<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring the safety and security of office\u00a0 properties and documents<\/li>\n<li>Responsibility for insurance, legal, safety\u00a0 and other compliance requirements<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of reports on key activities\/events in the Department<\/li>\n<li>Supervision of the functions of some\u00a0 categories of staff in the Department<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of Minutes of Meetings and Matters Arising there from and dealing with specific correspondence and documents as and when required.<\/li>\n<li>Implementing and monitoring support services to other Departments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nEligibility
