MdM operating in Nigeria, Borno state since October 2016. We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Medical Doctor<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Maiduguri, Borno<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Responsibilities:<\/strong><br \/>\nUnder the supervision of Medical Supervisor, the Medical Doctor will be responsible for the following main activities in order to ensure the quality of care in the mobile clinics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provision of free of charge curative health consultations<\/li>\n<li>Admission, weekly medical follow-up and discharge of the malnourished children in OTP program<\/li>\n<li>Collection, computerization and analysis of weekly epidemiological data<\/li>\n<li>Reporting and attendance to different meetings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tasks Description:<\/strong><br \/>\nProvision of free of charge curative health consultations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare all the necessary drugs, material and equipment for mobile clinics and ensure that everything is ready before to leave MdM office<\/li>\n<li>Follow the basic medical rules of hygiene when performing curative health consultations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Participate actively in triage activities before to start curative health consultations. Perform curative consultations:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Take a proper medical history including:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reason for consultation<\/li>\n<li>Duration of the illness or complaints<\/li>\n<li>Main symptoms<\/li>\n<li>Past medical history and treatment.<\/li>\n<li>Perform a correct physical examination:<\/li>\n<li>Inspection, auscultation, percussion, palpation<\/li>\n<li>Systematic checking of signs of severity<\/li>\n<li>Diagnose and treat the diseases according to protocols in use (i.e. clinical guidelines)<\/li>\n<li>Write the most important complaints, signs, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment on the patient\u2019s registration form.<\/li>\n<li>Explain the treatment to the patient<\/li>\n<li>Give individual health education related to the patient\u2019s disease<\/li>\n<li>Manage emergency cases according to MdM protocols and regulation<\/li>\n<li>Fill in the registration form for each patient, according to the diagnosis of the morbidity surveillance form<\/li>\n<li>Check the immunization status for all EPI targeted children and referred the unvaccinated children to the vaccinator<\/li>\n<li>Investigate any information regarding unusual health events or diseases outbreak, provided through any source<\/li>\n<li>Ensure patient confidentiality is respected and treat all the patients with respect and dignity<\/li>\n<li>Admission, weekly medical follow-up and discharge of the malnourished children in OTP program:<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all the 6-59 months children have been screened (MUAC, H\/W and edemas)<\/li>\n<li>Admit new cases in OTP program according to the criteria\u2019s of national nutrition protocol and give systematic treatment for SAM cases<\/li>\n<li>Ensure weekly follow up of SAM cases and adapt RUTF doses<\/li>\n<li>Discharge cases according to the criteria\u2019s of national nutrition protocol<\/li>\n<li>Refer complicated SAM cases to identified Stabilization Center<\/li>\n<li>Fill in the specific OTP form<\/li>\n<li>Collection, computerization and analysis of weekly epidemiological data:<\/li>\n<li>Perform the daily data collection regarding curative consultations<\/li>\n<li>Participate to the weekly computerization and analysis of the medical data<\/li>\n<li>Reporting and attendance to different meetings:<\/li>\n<li>Prepare a weekly activities report to submit to team leader<\/li>\n<li>Participate in a pro-active way to MdM internal meetings (medical, security\u2026)<\/li>\n<li>Participate to all the trainings organized by MDM<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Others:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Give suggestions to improve the functioning of MDM mobile clinics<\/li>\n<li>Participate to the loading and unloading of the vehicles and to the setting up of the mobile clinics<\/li>\n<li>Participate to weekly physical inventory of mobile clinic pharmacy<\/li>\n<li>Be flexible in performing his\/her duties to ensure that beneficiaries are getting good quality services<\/li>\n<li>Perform other additional duties on request of the team leader<\/li>\n<li>Inform immediately the security focal point in case of any security problem in the field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Qualified and registered national Medical Doctor from a recognized university with a valid practicing license from Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Work experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 2 years of progressive work experience with similar role as a Mobile clinic physician.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated understanding of the INGO systems and structure.<\/li>\n<li>Previous work with humanitarian organizations is added plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>To Apply:<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV and Cover Letter in one single attachment via email to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment.nigeria@medecinsdumonde.net\"><strong>recruitment.nigeria@medecinsdumonde.net<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0using &#8220;Medical Doctor Maiduguri&#8221; as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>17th June, 2021.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0Applications without the correct subject line stated above will not be treated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Medecins du Monde (MdM) is an international humanitarian organization whose mission is to provide medical care for the most vulnerable populations, the world over, including France.
