We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Purchase Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Abuja (FCT)<br \/>\n<strong>Contract:<\/strong> Six (6) month contract &#8211; 208 working hours per month and roster flexibility required<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Performing the day to day purchasing activities in a particular supply office (coordination or project level) according to MSF protocols and standards in order to ensure an optimal running of the mission\/ project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Performing on a day to day basis the purchasing activities of a supply office, analyzing market sources and competitive pricing conditions among different suppliers in order to ensure an ongoing supply of goods, following the procurement procedures and according to MSF standards and protocols. Including the following activities:\n<ul>\n<li>Constantly assessing the local market, seeking products and suppliers that offer the best value for money and negotiating prices in order to guarantee the best quality and pricing for MSF goods and commodities. Regularly updating the supplier-item-price data on the supply office and informing the Supply (Activity) Supervisor \/ Logistics Supervisor of all information or modifications to the data i.e. price, address, items available<\/li>\n<li>At the request of the line manager, obtaining different quotations from suppliers according to the MSF Purchasing policy and placing purchase orders to pre-selected suppliers with whom prices have been agreed<\/li>\n<li>Requesting invoices or receipts, without delay, for all purchases, checking they are correctly filled and translating information written in local language before approval<\/li>\n<li>Managing the administrative and accounting procedures related to purchases: completing purchase orders, checking delivery notes (against orders), managing advances issued by the Finance Department, etc. Updating information on purchase lists after purchases are made<\/li>\n<li>Assisting in reception control process with the storekeeper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Performing delegated tasks according to his \/ her activity and as specified in his\/her job description<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Essential &#8211; Diploma in Supply, Commerce, Economics, Business Admin or other related diplomas.<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Office Literacy is essential<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 2 years&#8217; experience in supply chain related jobs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Language:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>English and Hausa essential, Fulani and other local language desirable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Remuneration:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monthly Gross salary of 280,592 (Two hundred and Eighty thousand, Five hundred and Ninety Two) Naira per month,plus 13th month allowance equivalent to 1 month of gross salary prorated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/3vuFlqL\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply online<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>19th June, 2021.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>M\u00e9decins Sans Fronti\u00e8res is a private, not-for-profit international humanitarian organization dedicated to providing medical assistance to populations in distress, without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, creed or political affiliation.<\/li>\n<li>No monetary transactions, neither demands of favours in kind, nor other types of favouritism will be tolerated in the MSF recruitment process.<\/li>\n<li>MSF reserves the right to refuse hiring a candidate having benefitted from any such acts.
