We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Medical Lab Scientist<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Abuja<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> Manager, Laboratory Services<br \/>\n<strong>Employment type:<\/strong> Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principal Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good knowledge of laboratory equipment<\/li>\n<li>Collect blood or tissue samples from patients, observing principles of asepsis to obtain blood samples.<\/li>\n<li>Process specimens utilizing protocols and technical knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Develop a suitable standard operation procedure for the Phlebotomy unit<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining, calibrating, cleaning and testing sterility of equipment<\/li>\n<li>Perform quality control, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting protocols to ensure proper functioning of instruments, reagents, procedures, etc<\/li>\n<li>Review results for accuracy and reportthe results of tests performed to Doctor<\/li>\n<li>Able to meet Turnaround time and in conformance with applicable confidentiality requirements<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice.<\/li>\n<li>Experiencein phlebotomy<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining and updating professional knowledge and taking responsibility for continuing professional development (CPD).<\/li>\n<li>Perform all tasks, duties, and tests related to laboratory services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s in Medical Laboratory Science<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 3 years\u2019 relevant post-NYSC working experience in similar role<\/li>\n<li>Must be registered with practicing license.<\/li>\n<li>Must be experienced in Haematology and Chemical Pathology<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in the handling of laboratory equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in use of Standard Operating Procedures in the field.<\/li>\n<li>BMLS \/AMLSCN certificate is required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and Qualities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aptitude for biology and chemistry.<\/li>\n<li>Patience, decisiveness and meticulousness.<\/li>\n<li>A desire to contribute to patient care and treatment.<\/li>\n<li>A responsible and mature approach to work.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent computer skills.<\/li>\n<li>Accuracy, with good attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>A systematic approach to tasks and the ability to follow instructions and set procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to both function independently and collaborate with a team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should\u00a0send their CV and Cover Letter to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:recruitment@psychpharmandlab.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recruitment@psychpharmandlab.com<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>15th July, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Psych Pharmaceuticals and Laboratory Services is a mental health pharmaceutical company that provides direct patient care, including treatment assessment and medication management activities.
