among other things perform the following duties:<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"ltr\">Co<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">lead the implementation of projects objectives and deliverables through\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">quantitative and qualitative gender<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">focused analyses within the \u2018Nextgen cassava\u2019\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">and \u2018RTB\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">foods\u2019 projects in cooperation with N<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">igerian\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">R<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">oot\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">C<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">rop\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">R<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">esearch\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">I<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">nstitute\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">(NCRI).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"ltr\">Develop qualitative (major) and quantitative (minor) tools and analyse data using\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">software such as SPSS, Nvivo, STATA, ATLAS.ti and R and make conference\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">presentations, autho<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">r publications in peer<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">review journals, and develop posters,\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">blogs, and briefs<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"ltr\">Manage survey data, organise, train and supervise staff involved in quantitative\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">and qualitative data collection, entry and\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">cleaning<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"ltr\">Design, lead and carry out fieldwork in ru<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">ral communities for gender focused\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">qualitative (a.o. intra<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">household, and within cooperatives) research and in relation\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">to the citizen science Tricot approach for cassava variety evaluation with\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">stakeholders<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"ltr\">Develop and adopt new gender responsive methodo<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">logies and qualitative research\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">tools and develop communication and training materials such as protocols\/guides,\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">audio and audio<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">visual content to disseminate gender approaches and research\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">findings at scientific conferences on behalf of project team and s<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">cientist<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"ltr\">Co<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">lead the implementation of a systematic customer and product profiling\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">incorporating gender aspects for each value chain actor to foster gender responsive\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">cassava breeding in Nigeria and support cases studies in Vietnam and Zambia as\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">part of t<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">he RTB CRP \u201cGolden egg\u201d initiative<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"ltr\">Facilitate interdisciplinary meetings and cooperation with bio<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">physical scientists,\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">food scientist, and colleagues in social\/gender science for joined article and\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">methodology development<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"ltr\">Support project supervisors\/bio<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">physical scientists on proposal development for\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">resource mobilization<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"ltr\">Mentor graduate trainee (NYSC corpers) and supervise students working on gender\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">related projects<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"ltr\">Be a resource person at gender sensitization workshops with excellent presentation\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">and\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">communication skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"ltr\">Lead the preparation and reporting of the gender\/social science team\u2019s monthly\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">activities to scientist and project lead<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"ltr\">Additional roles assigned as a member of the IITA gender science network and RTB\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">Foods gender working group<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"ltr\">Perform any\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">other additional roles assigned as a member of the IITA gender science\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">network and RTB Foods gender working group.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Qualification:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span dir=\"ltr\">Masters Degree in<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">, Food Science \/ Technology, or related field\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">with\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">minimum of\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">six<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">(<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">6<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">) years\u2019\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">experience in a\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">well<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">stru<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">ctured environment or donor funded organization<\/span><span to Cassava base (crop\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">ontologies) and Climb Mob data platforms (<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">www.ClimMob.net<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">) and have\u00a0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">rudimentary knowledge of R.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span dir=\"ltr\">Have excellent social skills in building contacts of trust w<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\">ith key persos in
