We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: SEN Coordinator<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Abuja (FCT)<br \/>\n<strong>Sector:<\/strong> Education<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Whole-school teaching and learning responsibility in the area of SEN Inclusion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Teaching and Learning:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify and adopt the most effective teaching approaches for SEN learners.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor teaching and learning activities to meet the needs of SEN learners.<\/li>\n<li>Promote Inclusion best practice and contribute to the aims and ethos of the school<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Recording and Assessment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set targets for raising achievement among SEN learners and other groups as appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Collect and interpret specialist assessment and performance data and share with other staff as appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Set up systems for identifying SEN, and assessing and reviewing SEN provision. This includes creating and monitoring Individual Educational Plans (IEPs), provision maps with class teachers.<\/li>\n<li>Update the Principal and Directors on the effectiveness of provision for SEN children.<\/li>\n<li>Keep parents informed about their child&#8217;s progress through individual meetings and at parents\u2019 meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Exams Officer in making applications for additional support, time and\/or specific papers for end of Key Stage assessments.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain SEN register.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate the effectiveness of provision.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Leadership:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide training opportunities for parents and teachers to learn about Inclusion, including whole-school Inset.<\/li>\n<li>Disseminate good practice in Inclusion across the school.<\/li>\n<li>Identify resources needed to meet the needs of SEN learners<\/li>\n<li>Work with the Principal and Directors on the strategic development of SEN &amp; Inclusion, including reviewing and formulating appropriate policies.<\/li>\n<li>Support learner progress meetings, recording agreed provision within provision maps.<\/li>\n<li>To keep abreast of developments in SEN (e.g. research, changes to the law) and inform staff and directors as necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Lead CPD on inclusion matters as needed across the school.<\/li>\n<li>Model good practice in teaching learners with SEN.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To willingly undertake any reasonable task requested by the Principal from time to time to support the safeguarding of staff and learners.<\/li>\n<li>To be willing to undertake the role of Designated Child Protection Co-ordinator.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Candidates should possess a Bachelor&#8217;s Degree.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their Applications and CV to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:vacancy@noblehall.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">vacancy@noblehall.com<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>30th, July 2021.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Noble Hall Leadership Academy for Girls, is a school dedicated to educating the total person &#8211; intellectual, spiritually, socially, physically and emotionally.
