We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Procurement Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Port Harcourt, Rivers<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Estimate and establish cost parameters and budget for purchase.<\/li>\n<li>Create and maintain a good relationshipwith vendors\/suppliers.<\/li>\n<li>Make professional decisions in a fast pace environment.<\/li>\n<li>Review and analyze all vendors\/suppliers and other important data.<\/li>\n<li>Review and analyze all vendors\/suppliers, supply, and price options<\/li>\n<li>Review the current process for procurement and make recommendations where appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to review Request for Quote (RFO) and Bid competitively<\/li>\n<li>Develop plans for purchasing equipment, servicesand supplies<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate the best deals for pricing and supply contracts<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the products and supplies are high quality<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and update the list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times and potential future development.<\/li>\n<li>Work with team members and Procurement Managers to complete duties as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to department originating requests<\/li>\n<li>Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.<\/li>\n<li>Contact suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.<\/li>\n<li>Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Interview &amp; train personnel for procurement with related activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Business, Economics Accounting, Logistics, supply chain management or marketing.<\/li>\n<li>Between 3- 7years of experience in the related field<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good financial Acumen<\/li>\n<li>Strong negotiation skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent leadership &amp; training skills<\/li>\n<li>Impeccable time management<\/li>\n<li>Strategic thinking.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>To Apply:<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV and Cover Letter (in PDF) to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:info@vagangoup.com\"><strong>info@vagangoup.com<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>18th August, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vagan Oil &amp; Gas Limited is a Nigerian Private Limited liability Company registered under the Companies Acts of 1990, In line with the policies of the Nigerian service provision.
