Department: Internal Audit
\nReporting to: GM Investigations, Africa<\/p>\n
1. Job Purpose:
\nTo enhance the awareness of fraud risk in the organization. Conduct investigations in a fair and independent manner. Support compliance to the Code of Conduct by ensuring that all complaints and concerns raised by staff are addressed timely.<\/p>\n
2. Key Accountabilities
\nFraud Management:
\n\u2022 Enhance the awareness of fraud risk within the organization.
\n\u2022 To improve compliance to Code of Conduct by employees, key vendors, business associates and strategic partners through various initiatives & measures.
\n\u2022 Obtain understanding of current and emerging fraud risks.
\n\u2022 Identify areas specifically vulnerable to fraud and actively engage with functional directors, other stake holders and Co-Auditors to implement anti-fraud monitoring and fraud preventive controls.
\n\u2022 Maintain liaison with law enforcement, regulatory agencies and industry peers on incident specific issues that may require follow-up and criminal trends.<\/p>\n
3. Fraud Investigation:
\n\u2022 Provide support through high quality investigations.
\n\u2022 Identify root causes leading to instances of impropriety and use the results of investigative matters to identify risk related issues and present lessons learned and recommendations to mitigate those risks.
\n\u2022 Follow-up with appropriate business leaders and\/or departments and ensure close looping of recommendations in the investigation report.<\/p>\n
4. People Management:
\n\u2022 Continuous development of Fraud management and Internal Audit teams including peers and partner.
\n\u2022 Ensure ongoing reassessment of skill sets required and supplement through recruitment or outsourcing.<\/p>\n
5. Skills and Knowledge (minimum acceptable proficiency for this job)
\nEducational Qualifications &Functional \/Technical Skills:
\n\u2022 Post graduation with a major in Management \/ Finance and Accounting
\nDesirable –
\n\u2022 Professional qualification: ACA, CFE, CISA<\/p>\n
Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years):
\nEssential \u2013
\n\u2022 Minimum 10 years of experience out of which at least 5 years should be in Fraud investigations in Africa
\nDesirable \u2013
\n\u2022 Experience in the telecommunications industry
\n\u2022 IT Skills (ability to interrogate different databases and perform Teleco specific data analytics)
\n\u2022 French Language skills<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 Excellent written and oral communication skills and presentation skills.
\n\u2022 Excellent analytical skills with an eye for detail.
\n\u2022 Focused, driven and outcome-oriented.
\nAbility to:
\n\u2022 Work independently as well as manage a team of professionals (inhouse and partner teams).
\n\u2022 Interact with senior management and act as a change agent.
\n\u2022 Work under pressure with no compromise on quality of delivery.
\n\u2022 Travel at short notice.
\n\u2022 Relocate to other locations within the group.<\/p>\n
