We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Communication Intern<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Abuja (FCT)<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong>Internship<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A non-profit organization based in Abuja is offering an internship opportunity in her communication department. This communication internship position is a 3-month, VIRTUAL UNPAID internship. This role requires an energetic, dedicated and detail-oriented person with strong writing skills who can manage multiple tasks. This individual is a team-player with an entrepreneurial spirit, willingness to learn and ability to manage multiple tasks while adapting to shifting priorities.<\/li>\n<li>Depending on skillset, this individual will assist with communications tasks including, but not limited to: writing and editing, web and social media analytics, social media content, graphic design, media relations, digital asset management, event coordination and other communications and administrative support tasks as assigned. Interns must be resident in Abuja.<\/li>\n<li>As no single applicant is likely to have all of the following skills, applicants with experience in at least 2-3 of these areas, and a willingness to expand their skillset should feel comfortable applying.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><br \/>\nApplicants will provide support in the following areas:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Social Media:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Draft and organize social media content to promote organizational blogs, videos and media coverage on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to social media quantitative and qualitative analytics reporting<\/li>\n<li>Create and coordinate content for social media campaigns and observances<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and research influencers, trending topics and tools<\/li>\n<li>Source content from staff around the world and at events<\/li>\n<li>General social media planning, research, reporting and coordination as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Writing and Editing:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Corporate bios<\/li>\n<li>Photo captions<\/li>\n<li>Blogs<\/li>\n<li>Project descriptions<\/li>\n<li>Interviewing<\/li>\n<li>Press releases and media advisories.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Photo, Video and Graphics:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Edit and format photos and videos for social media and web<\/li>\n<li>Photo, video and audio editing<\/li>\n<li>Photography and videography<\/li>\n<li>Infographics<\/li>\n<li>Gifs, animations and graphics<\/li>\n<li>Digital asset management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Media Relations:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Help compile and update media contact lists<\/li>\n<li>Prepare media reports on assigned subjects<\/li>\n<li>Identify and research opportunities to share organizational stories<\/li>\n<li>Assist with press release\/media advisory writing, editing, distribution, and media outreach<\/li>\n<li>Assist with media interview scheduling and coordination<\/li>\n<li>Assist with scheduling and coordinating of photo \/ video shoots.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Miscellaneous Communications and Administrative Support:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Taking notes during meetings<\/li>\n<li>Create and manage PowerPoint presentations<\/li>\n<li>Report preparation for meetings and presentations<\/li>\n<li>Purchasing and expense reports<\/li>\n<li>Mail<\/li>\n<li>Event planning and coordination<\/li>\n<li>General administrative and communications support as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ideal candidate is a recent graduate (graduated within the past year) or an undergraduate \/ graduate student in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Filmmaking, Digital Media, Graphic Design or a Development-related field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLScvf_i8dbsoVUeCFma--GJCIXMlGaR0T0uvTqgLORGZUV2IMg\/viewform\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>27th August, 2021.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ACRI is a non-profit organization committed to supporting street connected children accross Nigeria.
