We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Purchase Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Issele Azagba, Delta<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<br \/>\n<strong>Industry:<\/strong> Manufacturing &#8211; Steel<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage the daily operations of the Purchase Department<\/li>\n<li>Consult with user department to develop a material specification<\/li>\n<li>Initiate bid\/quote processes for services and suppliers.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accurate documentation and posting of procurement transactions<\/li>\n<li>Prepare enquiries for requisitions sent from the project sites and other departments that require foreign purchase.<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate with vendors to get the best possible discount on the purchase while maintaining the required standard<\/li>\n<li>Identifies and reports deficiencies or defects and monitor their resolution or contractual implications<\/li>\n<li>Perform bid analysis and make recommendations regarding purchases.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure purchase is in adherence to the approved vendor&#8217;s list provided<\/li>\n<li>Update the procurement spreadsheet\/tracker to capture the current procurement stage for materials been purchased.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the procurement plan is strictly adhered to, in order to ensure materials, arrive on-site as at when required.<\/li>\n<li>Provide feedback on the overall procurement status of the project materials to the project manager, top management and client on a regular basis.<\/li>\n<li>Organize and coordinate the attendance of factory acceptance tests by the client, contractor and TPI.<\/li>\n<li>Follow up on receipt of the material.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A good First Degree in Purchasing and Supply or any related course.<\/li>\n<li>Alternatively, an accounting degree or an engineering degree would be preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of Five Years\u2019 Experience in the steel or cement manufacturing industry<\/li>\n<li>Relevant professional certification is a must<\/li>\n<li>Good Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Excel, SAP or ERP.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should kindly send their CV\u00a0to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:cv@ascentech.com.ng\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>cv@ascentech.com.ng<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0with the job title as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>25th August, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ascentech Services Limited is a full-fledged Human Resource Solution Provider incorporated in 2013 with its Head Office in Lagos, Nigeria.
