We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Accountant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lekki, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<br \/>\n<strong>Supervision Received:<\/strong> General Manager<br \/>\n<strong>Supervision Exercised:<\/strong> Nil<\/p>\n<p><strong>General Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure keeping of proper books of accounts for company\u2019s transactions;<\/li>\n<li>Record, reconcile, control, and prepare periodical of financial reports and statements<\/li>\n<li>Implement all aspects of the company\u2019s finance, administration, personnel and procurement policies, and procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain proper and adequate books of accounts for all company transactions.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare a weekly and monthly summary of payments &#8211; cash and bank.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare monthly financial reports including receipts and payments accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare quarterly management reports highlighting the financial position of the company.<\/li>\n<li>Design and implement internal control measures to safeguard the company\u2019s assets including cash.<\/li>\n<li>Issue customer\/client invoices and follow-up payments with the General Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the company\u2019s stock accounts and coordinate periodical stocktaking exercises.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare staff payroll monthly and ensure compliance with statutory provisions including PAYE tax deductions.<\/li>\n<li>Provide necessary support to the MD in managing the company\u2019s business.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain up-to-date records of cheque payments and bank transfers.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with the Managing Director to carry out regular banking transactions.<\/li>\n<li>Keep an up-to-date register of the supplier, partner, and service provider invoices and payments.<\/li>\n<li>Timely payment of processed and approved invoices for Suppliers, Service Providers, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Any other duties assigned by management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Accountabilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Weekly Receipts and Payments Accounts<\/li>\n<li>Monthly Income Statement<\/li>\n<li>Quarterly management accounts<\/li>\n<li>Monthly updated debtors and creditors\u2019 accounts<\/li>\n<li>Monthly Finance Report.<\/li>\n<li>Monthly Admin Report highlighting challenges that require management attention<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Context:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Constant liaison with the General Manager and MD to obtain relevant information.<\/li>\n<li>Collaboration with sales and operation teams to be current with company transactions.<\/li>\n<li>Internal control to safeguard the company\u2019s assets including cash<\/li>\n<li>Use of simple accounting software to generate reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Environment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The job involves a good understanding of Oil and Gas business, visits to several prospects, and the ability to nurture them into customers in a competitive market.<\/li>\n<li>Stocks management and logistic challenges associated with product transportation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First Degree or its equivalent in Accounting<\/li>\n<li>Student membership in a professional accounting body will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>2 years of Accounting experience in an audit firm or industry<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of micro-soft office suite<\/li>\n<li>Ability to use basic accounting software.<\/li>\n<li>Basic knowledge of petroleum products retail business<\/li>\n<li>A strong commitment to professional excellence and integrity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to deliver timely reports despite obstacles and limited resources.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of white products retail market in Nigeria<\/li>\n<li>Highly organized, able to work independently,<\/li>\n<li>Analytical and willing to learn.<\/li>\n<li>Good oral and Written Communication<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure.<\/li>\n<li>Integrity<\/li>\n<li>Strong inter-personal relationship<\/li>\n<li>Entrepreneurial mind-set.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary: <\/strong>N100,000 &#8211; N120,000 Monthly Gross.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong><a href=\"mailto:recruitment@beckleyconsulting.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recruitment@beckleyconsulting.com<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>24th September, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Beckley Consulting Limited &#8211; We are a company with a special focus on the provision of professional support services for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
