MdM operating in Nigeria, Borno state since October 2016.<br \/>\nWe are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Logistics Coordinator (M \/ F)<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Maiduguri, Borno (with regular field visits)<br \/>\n<strong>Job ID:<\/strong> 117730FR<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Fixed-term Contract<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Duration: <\/strong>6 months<br \/>\n<strong>Starting Date:<\/strong> ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Under the supervision of the general coordinator and with the support of the logistics advisor in HQ, you lead the development of the country programme logistics strategy and ensure its timely implementation.<\/li>\n<li>You provide logistics guidance, advice and support to all programme and field sites and the logistics staffs.<\/li>\n<li>You manage directly 1 logistics officer\/supply officer and 1 ICT officer and support the logistics teams in Maiduguri and Damboa bases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Main Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Logistics Coordination:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Define and implement the logistics tools, processes and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Assist the field teams in scheduling all logistics activities<\/li>\n<li>Provide input on logistics matters to the coordination team for proposals and report writing<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the monthly logistics reporting documents and forms are upkept and sent to HQ<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Program Activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform the role of technical advisor at country level and take final responsibility for all logistics tasks of the mission<\/li>\n<li>Be responsible for the appropriate selection, installation, use and maintenance of all equipments<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain good network of contacts to facilitate emergency responses<\/li>\n<li>Support the programme teams, particularly on transportation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Procurement, supply chain &amp; asset management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee the full scope of the supply chain management for support and activities requirements within the country (international &amp; local purchases)<\/li>\n<li>Be in charge of the implementation, the follow up and observance of MdM Logistics procedures and more generally, donor compliance<\/li>\n<li>Ensure active monitoring of the purchasing process including overseeing local customs clearance of imports<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that a supplier database exists and up to date<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the general fleet management processes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Team Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be responsible for defining the logistics department staff set up<\/li>\n<li>Be responsible for the technical support of all logistics staff<\/li>\n<li>Be responsible for the capacity building and training of all logistics staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Safety and Security:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in development, review, implementation, diffusion and monitoring of MdM\u2019s security measures in-country<\/li>\n<li>Be responsible for performing the security briefings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Meetings, Representation and Reporting:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attend weekly online meetings with HQ logistics advisor<\/li>\n<li>Attend and contribute to the MdM weekly coordination meetings<\/li>\n<li>Represent MdM and network among other organisations and at a national level<\/li>\n<li>Attend national logistics and\/or security-related external meetings<\/li>\n<li>Consolidate logistics reporting and prepare monthly logistics report<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Profile:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2-years Higher Education qualification in Logistic Management \/ Purchasing<\/li>\n<li>5 years&#8217; professional experience (including at least one year in a logistical coordination position in a humanitarian setting or 2 years\u2019 logistician experience)<\/li>\n<li>Experience in fleet management, security, supply chain and stock<\/li>\n<li>Experience in managing a large team and work in an international setting<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work quickly, under pressure, and with short deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work and live in a volatile security context<\/li>\n<li>Languages: English is mandatory and knowledge of Hausa or French would be an asset<\/li>\n<li>You embrace the core values and support the proactive philosophy of M\u00e9decins du Monde.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Conditions of Employment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gross monthly salary: 2 860 euros<\/li>\n<li>Premium equal to one month salary paid in two instalments &#8211;
