We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Audit Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Abuja<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-Time<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> Head, Internal Audit<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan and carry out financial, regulatory, compliance or operational reviews\/audits.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinates work with Risk, Legal &amp; Compliance and other control-related activities and with others within Internal Audit. Ensure daily compliance on the internal and financial policies of the facility.<\/li>\n<li>Do a daily call over on all expenses across all synapse centres allocated to you and ensure that all postings are correctly done<\/li>\n<li>Takes routine stocks check and verify that records in the bin cards show true representation of stock on ground<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that costs are not over stated on all expenses.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with all regulatory policies.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that internal control system is in place so as to control loss, theft and risk in the facility.<\/li>\n<li>Identifies any internal control gap and measures for its improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Report to management all risk issues in accordance with auditing standards.<\/li>\n<li>Flag up any internal control issue.<\/li>\n<li>Performs audit procedures to verify that controls are operating through testing and interviewing techniques.<\/li>\n<li>Analyses and concludes on effectiveness and efficiency of control environment.<\/li>\n<li>Identifies control gaps and opportunities for improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Documents the results of audit work in accordance with audit department and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards.<\/li>\n<li>Assess, evaluate and promote compliance to Synapse internal policies.<\/li>\n<li>Contributes, as appropriate, in the year-end financial audit with the external auditor.<\/li>\n<li>Provides advice on internal control and participates in enhancing internal audit standards and practices within Synapse.<\/li>\n<li>Provide feedback on Accounting Procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics or Business Administration<\/li>\n<li>Student or fully-qualified member of ACCA, ICAN, CIA<\/li>\n<li>3-years experience in a finance role (2 of which are in internal audit)<\/li>\n<li>Understands\/can review financial statements and management accounts<\/li>\n<li>Eye for detail and can think out-of-the-box<\/li>\n<li>Can keep confidential\/classified information<\/li>\n<li>Can work well with others in a very fast-paced environment<\/li>\n<li>Good report writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Good in written and spoken English<\/li>\n<li>Very organized, can keep track of and complete multiple assignments<\/li>\n<li>Respects deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Can use MS-Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook<\/li>\n<li>Can use video conferencing applications like Skype, Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams<\/li>\n<li>Must reside in Abuja.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/D5mxb3dWK5YHQrjR9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>26th October, 2021.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0Application will be reviewed on a rolling basis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Synapse Services is a Centre for Psychological Medicine that is committed to providing a full range of mental health and substance misuse services in a caring, patient- centred environment.
