We are recruiting to fill the position of:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Hygiene Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Maiduguri \/ Damasak, Borno<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full Time<br \/>\n<strong>Department:<\/strong> Programmes &#8211; WASH<br \/>\n<strong>Experience Level:<\/strong> Mid Level<br \/>\n<strong>Reporting To:<\/strong> WASH Program Manager<br \/>\n<strong>Proposed Start Date:<\/strong> December 2021<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Action Against Hunger is currently looking to fill the role of Hygiene Officer\u00a0who will ensure the quality Implementation of the Public Health Promotion and Non-Food Items distribution of the WASH project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In coordination with the WASH Program Manager, revise and adapt hygiene promotion training material to local context and in line with target groups to be trained.<\/li>\n<li>Working closely with the WASH Program Manager throughout the planning, design and implementation stages of WASH technical activities.<\/li>\n<li>Represent\u00a0the organization at local level WASH meetings and technical working groups relating to Public Health Promotion and NFI distribution as required by your line manager.<\/li>\n<li>Organize and train RRT, health workers from CTC and CTU on WASH management of cholera case.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the Public Health Promotion team members are fully aware of the hygiene promotion strategy and all activities are in line with strategy activities.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare training tools on relevant technical topics and conduct trainings for both internal staff and external stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Plan beneficiary selection and registration, and lead the distribution of NFI kits with the field assistant team.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that work meets with SPHERE minimum standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Position Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of B.Sc in Public Health, Sociology, Environmental Biology, Hygiene and Sanitation related field.<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience in supervising hygiene promotion activities.<\/li>\n<li>Capacity to be adaptable and flexible.<\/li>\n<li>3 years of relevant work experience\u00a0in the same position.<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Office software skills (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word).<\/li>\n<li>Willing and able to be based and travel regularly within remote areas, where services are limited.<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in\u00a0 English Hausa, Kanuri, Shuwa and Fulani language.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Starting Gross Basic Salary and Other Benefits:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>N281,063 per month (excluding other benefits)<\/li>\n<li>Other benefits include but not limited to 100% health care coverage, free and direct access to Cross Knowledge e-learning platform.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/acfinternational.applytojob.com\/apply\/rHkWJbSJZI\/Hygiene-Officer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply online<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>2nd December, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Our employees enjoy a work culture that promotes diversity and inclusion.<\/li>\n<li>Action Against Hunger provides Equal Employment Opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability or genetics.<\/li>\n<li>Qualified women are strongly encourage to apply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Action Against Hunger is the world\u2019s hunger specialist and leader in a global movement that aims to end life-threatening hunger for good within our lifetimes.
