We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Safety Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Edo<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Brief:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are looking for a responsible Safety Officer to facilitate compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>You will provide advice on measures to minimize hazards or unhealthy situations. You will also be on a constant lookout for violations.<\/li>\n<li>The ideal candidate will be a responsible individual who swears by OSH regulations. Your work will be largely focused on prevention so you need to be conscientious and farsighted. The ideal candidate will also be detail-oriented and ready to act in emergencies.<\/li>\n<li>The goal is to establish a safe workplace according to legal standards and foster a culture of attention to health and safety.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the development of OHS policies and programs<\/li>\n<li>Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures<\/li>\n<li>Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation<\/li>\n<li>Initiate and organize OHS training of employees and executives<\/li>\n<li>Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)<\/li>\n<li>Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy<\/li>\n<li>Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker\u2019s compensation claims<\/li>\n<li>Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.Sc \/ BA in Safety Management, Engineering, or relevant field is preferred<\/li>\n<li>Certificate in occupational health and safety<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience as a safety officer<\/li>\n<li>In-depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA\/EPA) and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices<\/li>\n<li>Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding organizational skills<\/li>\n<li>Diligent with great attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>N100,000 monthly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should forward their CV to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:amanlikesam@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">amanlikesam@gmail.com<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>7th December, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sinoma Nigeria Company Limited is a Chinese construction company for EPC(Engineering, Procurement, and Construction)Turnkey projects Sinoma Nigeria Company Ltd is an affiliate of Sinoma International Engineering Co., Ltd, whose senior&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":10165,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[62],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
