To achieve this objective, we have built a trusted payment infrastructure that allows consumers and businesses (African and International) make and receive payments in a convenient border-less manner.<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for driven, passionate and committed individuals to join the team as we grow and expand across Africa and beyond to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Settlement Accountant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Lekki, Lagos<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>About the Settlement Accountant Role:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This role involves daily analysis of all settlement bank accounts to ascertain bank charges for the purpose of monthly management accounts preparation, monthly reconciliation of all settlement bank accounts for the purpose of management accounts preparation as well as interacting with the Settlement Operations Team to ensure timely retrieval of all financial data required by the Finance Department.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>What your day to day activities will be like:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reconcile settlement bank statements<\/li>\n<li>Extract bank charges from settlement bank statements<\/li>\n<li>Participate in monthly financial close<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with the Settlement Operations Team to obtain all required data and information<\/li>\n<li>Keep proper records of all cost of service, such as providers cost, bank charges, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Escalate variances and gaps noticed in data and information obtained from the Settlement Operations Team<\/li>\n<li>Carry out any other assigned task for the purpose of preparing monthly management accounts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Competency and Skillset to be a Waver:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent analytical and numerical skills<\/li>\n<li>Proficient with MS office (Excel and word)<\/li>\n<li>Detail-oriented and excel at spotting patterns\/trends and irregularities<\/li>\n<li>Analytical and thorough.
