We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Assistant Class Teacher<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Victoria Island, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To create and manage a caring, supportive, purposeful and stimulating environment which is conducive to children\u2019s learning.<\/li>\n<li>To assist in planning and preparing lessons in order to deliver the National Curriculum ensuring breadth and balance in all subjects.<\/li>\n<li>To identify clear teaching objectives and learning outcomes, with appropriate challenges and high expectations.<\/li>\n<li>To maintain good order and discipline among the pupils, safeguarding their health and wellbeing.<\/li>\n<li>To organise and manage groups or individual pupils ensuring differentiation of learning needs, reflecting all abilities.<\/li>\n<li>To plan opportunities to develop the social, emotional and cultural aspects of pupils\u2019 learning.<\/li>\n<li>To maintain a regular system of monitoring, assessment, record-keeping and reporting of children\u2019s progress.<\/li>\n<li>Complete diaries, log books and anecdotal recordings.<\/li>\n<li>Log in homework books.<\/li>\n<li>To prepare appropriate records for the transfer of pupils.<\/li>\n<li>To take class registers at the beginning of each lesson and refer any attendance concerns to the Class Teacher.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure effective use of support staff within the classroom.<\/li>\n<li>To participate in staff meetings as required.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the development and coordination of a particular area of the curriculum.<\/li>\n<li>To be part of a whole school team, actively involved in decision-making on the preparation and development of policies and programmes of study, teaching materials, resources, methods of teaching and pastoral arrangements.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure that school policies are reflected in daily practice.<\/li>\n<li>To communicate and consult with parents over all aspects of their children\u2019s education \u2013 academic, social and emotional.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A good First Degree in Education with 1 &#8211; 3 years work experience.<\/li>\n<li>PGCE\/ PGDE is an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Evidence of in service professional development is desirable<\/li>\n<li>Clear and effective communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to deliver dynamic and effective lessons<\/li>\n<li>Suitability to work with children.<\/li>\n<li>A thorough understanding of the national curriculum and a range of assessment requirements and arrangements.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of local and international statistics to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>To Apply:<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:careers@riverbankschools.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>careers@riverbankschools.org<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>21st March, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The RiverBank School &#8211; We are committed to raising God fearing Leaders who would aim for excellence in all their endeavor.
