APIN is a leading Nigerian organization in the provision of prevention, care and treatment services to patients with HIV\/AIDS, Tuberculosis; Malaria; Reproductive Health; Family Planning; Maternal, Newborn and Child Health, and other non-communicable diseases of public health significance. We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Health Informatics Senior Technical Analyst<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Abuja<br \/>\n<strong>Requisition ID:<\/strong> api-88222<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-Time<br \/>\n<strong>Department:<\/strong> Health Informatics<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PHIS3 seeks a Health Informatics Seniot Technical Analyst to support Health Information activities in the project.<\/li>\n<li>The Health Informatics Senior Technical Analyst will assist the development, implementation, supervision, and management of the electronic information systems.<\/li>\n<li>This function will include assisting the software programming team in developing actual logic statements for the coding of M&amp;E indicators and ensuring that the development is done according to already established standards and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>S\/he will also ensure optimal functionality of all eHealth and mHealth systems and project databases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the implementation of National Data Repository related duties<\/li>\n<li>Support the management of NASCP data links and website functions<\/li>\n<li>Support activities on Health informatics and Strategic Information<\/li>\n<li>Provide on-site IT and technical support to individuals and departments within the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare or edit documents including infographics, PowerPoint presentations, reports, manuals,<\/li>\n<li>Give recommendations relating to IT issues on the best course of action to ensure standard procedures are followed.<\/li>\n<li>Interface with stakeholders as NASCP POC for IT assets and infrastructure.<\/li>\n<li>Design and support the production of NASCP bulletin and e media.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct assessments of health informatics environments, synthesize pertinent information, identify implications for planning, development, and provide recommendations to PHIS3 management on health system designs and implementations.<\/li>\n<li>Maintenance and upgrade of electronic health information systems (HIS) hardware and software used for program Monitoring, Quality Improvement, and Evaluation.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise the deployment of the developed M &amp; E software and database tools to sites.<\/li>\n<li>Support the database staff in developing standard operating procedures, user manuals, and data management procedure documents for all electronic information systems.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure coordination in electronic information systems planning, development, and implementation between the Ministry of Health departments, units, and appropriate external organizations.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare timely progress and periodic reports on information systems tool development and implementation.<\/li>\n<li>Development and\/or adaption of software, database, and other tools for reporting and data output requirements for both internal use, donors use and Government of Nigeria reporting requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Deployment of relevant hardware, software, and database tools to new sites as identified by implementing partners.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the maintenance and functioning of health information systems across implementing partners.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct assessments of health informatics environments, synthesize pertinent information, and identify implications for planning and development.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare timely progress and periodic reports on information systems tool development and implementation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Statistics, Social Science, Medical Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Technology, or a related field.<\/li>\n<li>MPH \/ MA \/ MS or similar Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Information Management strong background in epidemiology, biostatistics or M &amp; E or similar Degree with 3 to 5 years relevant experience in project-level or state\/national-level monitoring and evaluation system implementation.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working at the national level on health programs with knowledge and experience with data collection and analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.<\/li>\n<li>At least five (5) or more years of experience in Software Development, Database Management, or Health Informatics.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with USAID\/PEPFAR HIV\/AIDS programs, Nigerian public sector health system, and HIV\/AIDS response.<\/li>\n<li>Competency in programming languages.
