We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Legal Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Abuja (FCT)<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Role Summary:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitoring and\/or advising on all legal matters, commercial contracts, and agreements.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the company complies with the statutory and corporate governance practices and guidelines as observed in the Banking and Finance sector\/industry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Draft a wide variety of legal agreements.<\/li>\n<li>Provide advice on corporate legal issues and business matters.<\/li>\n<li>Provide internal advisory services to the business units and departments within the Company.<\/li>\n<li>Provide commercial legal support to all departmental projects and job functions.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the development of service level agreements for service support and delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor the maintenance of the registers and other records required to be maintained by the Company under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA).<\/li>\n<li>Provide all such other administrative and other secretarial duties as directed by the CEO&amp; Board.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the development of guidelines, policies, procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Analyse and review legal agreements, legislation and documents for the organization, subsidiaries and Board<\/li>\n<li>Ensure (internal &amp; external) compliance with laid down guidelines, policies and procedures; investigate issues of non-compliance as may be required.<\/li>\n<li>Review and advice management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Performance Indicators:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Administration &#8211; Measures effectiveness in planning, organizing and efficiently handling activities and eliminating unnecessary activities<\/li>\n<li>Turn-around time on assigned task.<\/li>\n<li>Communication &#8211; Measures effectiveness in listening to others, expressing ideas, both orally and in writing and providing relevant and timely information to management, and members of staff.<\/li>\n<li>Decision Making\/Problem Solving &#8211; Measures effectiveness in understanding problems and making timely, practical decisions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>LLB Degree and Barrister at Law qualification<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience<\/li>\n<li>Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association is essential<\/li>\n<li>Masters degree will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of corporate law.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/winock-limited.grovehr.com\/careers\/job?id=621e4243e36d1b00269c52ba\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>22nd March, 2022.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Winock is a mission-driven social impact organization committed to uplifting micro-businesses in Nigeria through the provision of affordable services that are essential for these businesses to grow &amp; thrive.
