Alaro City\u2019s vision goes beyond alleviating what is a self-evident problem &#8211; that of stifling urban congestion and a dearth of quality housing and commercial property in Lagos and Africa as a whole.<\/p>\n<p>Rather, we aim to help create the infrastructure &#8211; the living and working spaces, communities, schools, and hospitals &#8211; that will help sustain and accelerate Nigeria\u2019s economic growth, meet the aspirations of Africa\u2019s burgeoning middle classes, and serve as a catalyst for further urban development. The people in our team are multi-skilled and experts in their respective fields. They possess a unique drive, underpinned by the desire to help improve Africa\u2019s urban development. We are recruiting to fill the position of:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>City Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Epe, Lagos<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conceive and execute the strategy and provision of centralised urban services to homeowners, businesses, and visitors to the city.<\/li>\n<li>Implement and manage the Facility Management ERP\/software system for Alaro City to ensure each of the City Management business is tracked and monitored efficiently.<\/li>\n<li>Analyse financial, technical, and billing data to identify issues and opportunities, support and reinforce credit collections.<\/li>\n<li>Implement framework and oversee in-house teams and contracts for providers for services including City security, parking, cleaning, maintenance, and landscaping.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise all City Management staff (gardeners, janitorial services, groundskeepers, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Inspecting buildings\u2019 structure and common services infrastructure to determine the need for repairs or renovations<\/li>\n<li>Create and implement a safety culture for the city, including speed limits and other safety measures.<\/li>\n<li>Develop, implement and enforce an Emergency Response Services policy.<\/li>\n<li>Support customer relations to deal with complaints and other issues with end users and property owners.<\/li>\n<li>Set up, oversee, and administer the City Management function for Nigeria and implementation of development control guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Establish a methodology for service charges, communicate them to residents and businesses and meet targets for service charge collections.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee facility management activities including managing service charge administration and accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor, oversee, and ensure internal quality standards are met for the operational deliverables of maintenance services.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the city meets government regulations and environmental, health, and security standards.<\/li>\n<li>Develop a framework for a viable transport\/shuttle system that will provide a mobility solution to the city\u2019s residents and visitors.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement a framework for a parking and traffic management system.<\/li>\n<li>Establish a maintenance compound and base for workers and security.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare weekly, monthly, and other periodic reports on the status of City Management at Alaro City.<\/li>\n<li>Effectively implement and ensure enforcement of best practices, policies, and procedures for the city management functions.<\/li>\n<li>Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments, regulatory agencies, consultants, and customers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Hard Skills and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Engineering, Project Management or Real Estate focused discipline;<\/li>\n<li>Master\u2019s Degree and professional certificates are a plus<\/li>\n<li>7 &#8211; 10 years hands-on experience in facilities management with at least 3 years of relevant management experience<\/li>\n<li>Effective development\/project management skills;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent budgeting skills;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent reporting skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Soft Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mature, pragmatic, and flexible approach, strong commercial judgment;<\/li>\n<li>Team player but comfortable working autonomously;<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;<\/li>\n<li>Good negotiation skills;<\/li>\n<li>Good attention to detail;<\/li>\n<li>Rigorous and organized approach; and<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on, ready to roll up the sleeves.<\/li>\n<li>Quick learner and ability and pick up new skills in other related fields.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Personal characteristics:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High energy;<\/li>\n<li>Result-oriented;<\/li>\n<li>Strong work ethic;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively under pressure; and<\/li>\n<li>Desire to live and work in Epe, Lagos.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>To Apply:<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their up-to-date CV to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:careersnigeria@rendeavour.com\">careersnigeria@rendeavour.com<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using &#8220;City Manager, Nigeria&#8221; as the subject of the email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>Not Specified.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alaro City Development FZC is an integrated, mixed-use city planned for over 2,000 hectares in the North West Quadrant of the Lekki Free Zone.
