Our client\u2019s vision strives to form a committed team of forward-thinkers who collectively create a supportive, welcoming and highly innovative environment for all.\u00a0 They are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Sanctions Specialist (FinTech \/ Cryptocurrency)<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos (Remote)<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drive execution and ongoing improvement of the hybrid Compliance and Sanctions programs (encompassing fiat and cryptocurrency), CRMP, principles, standards, policy, and oversight expectations within assigned territory.<\/li>\n<li>Act an SME on sanctions with an in-depth understanding of USA and African sanctions laws.<\/li>\n<li>Lead on drafting and maintaining group sanctions compliance documents including policy &amp; procedure.<\/li>\n<li>Provide expert sanctions advice and decisions on complex matters including interpretation of sanctions documents.<\/li>\n<li>Act as the lead on upstream sanctions risk and best practice.<\/li>\n<li>Acting as a first point contact and subject matter expert for sanction concerns raised by other compliance teams<\/li>\n<li>Conducting enhanced investigations on escalated sanctions alerts from junior team members<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and support all sanctions required reporting (e.g., Blocked and Rejected transactions, Annual Reporting of Blocked Property, reporting pursuant to general or specific licences, as required)<\/li>\n<li>Provide advice and guidance to other teams and key stakeholders \u2013 regionally and globally, on sanctions regulations and related company policies and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring global regulatory changes that may impact the company\u2019s sanctions compliance requirements and identify any changes to internal policies and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Identifying gaps in policies\/procedures, training, resources, and organisational structures are actioned to ensure that regulatory requirements are meet<\/li>\n<li>Conduct investigations and analysis in support of subpoenas and related inquiries and potential voluntary disclosures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Post Secondary Degree in Compliance, Risk, Finance, Legal or equivalent combination of educational and work experience<\/li>\n<li>Relevant Education and Experience and\/or related professional designations \/ certifications (CAMS, CFE, Audit)<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years of previous work experience in Sanctions compliance roles at a financial institution<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of three (3) years\u2019 experience in a corporate management\/supervisory position with multiple direct reports.<\/li>\n<li>Fluent English, French and Arabic are beneficial and a combination of local languages are essential for this role, as is a willingness to travel across your assigned region<\/li>\n<li>Experience handling sanctions escalations and filing rejection and blocking reports<\/li>\n<li>Certification as a Global Sanctions Specialist (CGSS)<\/li>\n<li>Availability to travel<\/li>\n<li>Advanced understanding of global sanctions and anti-money laundering regulations within the banking\/financial services industry and experience addressing compliance issues relating to anti-money laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, and related laws\/regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Remuneration: <\/strong>Salary + Benefits<\/p>\n<p><b>Application Deadline: <\/b>Not Specified.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blackpenrecruitment.zohorecruit.com\/jobs\/Careers\/566257000029392249\/Sanctions-Specialist-FinTech-Cryptocurrency?source=Hotnigerianjob\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Black Pen Recruitment &#8211; Our client is an American-based company that is expanding globally by being one of the first movers to bring cryptocurrency to Africa and the Middle East&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":10165,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[70],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Black Pen Recruitment Available Job Opportunity - Apply Now!
