The Police Service Commission invites applicants for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force as Professionals in the following fields of Information and Communication Technology:<\/p>\n<p>1.) Systems Programmer \/ Database Developer<br \/>\n2.) Geographic Information Systems<br \/>\n3.) Applications Development<br \/>\n4.) Networking (Wireless \/ Wired WAN &amp; LAN)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Category B<\/p>\n<p>CADET INSPECTOR\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants must possess an OND in the relevant fields of Information Technology, in addition to the under-listed requirements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.) Systems Programmer \/ Database Developer (Sort Code B1)<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>OND in Computer Science \/ Information &amp; Communication Technology or any other relevant discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Additional Certification in Microsoft, Oracle, proficiency in Dot Net, ASP.Net, Java, MS-SQL, is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2.) Geographical Information System (Sort Code B2)<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>OND in Computer Science \/ Geography \/ Information &amp; Communication Technology or any other relevant discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in GIS applications, GIS &amp; GPS Remote Sensing, Computer Programming is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3.) Application Developer (Sort Code B3)<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>OND in Computer Science \/ Geography \/ Information &amp; Communication Technology \/ Mathematics or any other relevant discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Additional Certification and proficiency in SQL, Java, MS-SQL, Web Application Development, Web Programming, XML Technology, PHP and\/or ASP.Net,\u00a0 is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>4.) Network Engineer \/ IT Security (Sort Code B4)<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>OND in Computer Science \/ Computer Engineering, or any other relevant discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Additional Certification in Cisco, Mikrotik, Microsoft and good understanding of network (WAN, MAN, WLAN, LAN) deployment &amp; management, VSAT, Microwave installation\/management, Internet Security, is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other Requirements<\/p>\n<p>Age:<\/strong>\u00a0Applicants for Inspector Cadre must be between the ages of 19 and 25 years.<\/p>\n<p>a.)\u00a0<strong>Height:<\/strong>\u00a0Not less than 1.67 meters (5&#8217;6) for males and 1.63 meters (5&#8217;4) for females.<br \/>\nb.)\u00a0<strong>Chest Measurement:<\/strong>\u00a0Expanded chest measurement which is for males only, must not be less than 86 centimeters (34&#8243;).<br \/>\nc.)\u00a0<strong>Physical Fitness:<\/strong>\u00a0Candidates must not have any physical deformities and will be required to pass a medical examination of physical fitness conducted by an acceptable Government Hospital.<br \/>\nd.) Be of Good Character<br \/>\ne.) Must be free of pecuniary embarrassment<br \/>\nf.) Must not be suffering from any of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Impediment of speech<\/li>\n<li>Gross malfunction of teeth or jaw preventing proper mastication of food.<\/li>\n<li>Knock knees<\/li>\n<li>Bow legs<\/li>\n<li>Bent Knees<\/li>\n<li>Flat feet<\/li>\n<li>Bent arms<\/li>\n<li>Deformed hands<\/li>\n<li>Defective eyesight, or squint eyes<\/li>\n<li>Amputation of any part of the body.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong><br \/>\nAll credentials submitted by applicants will be verified with the appropriate examination \/ issuing bodies, and anyone who submits fake documents will be prosecuted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Closing Date<\/strong><br \/>\nJuly 31, 2012<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method of Application<\/strong><br \/>\n1.
