The premise on which Leeki Freeport Terminal will operate is to connect global maritime trade to Nigeria and the rest of the world. We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: HSE Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos Island, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<br \/>\n<strong>Department:<\/strong> HSE<br \/>\n<strong>Reporting to:<\/strong> HSE Manager<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To support the implementation of the HSE management system within Lekki Freeport Terminal<\/li>\n<li>To assist various functions in maintaining high HSE standards in all work activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Major Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To regularly monitor the compliance to HSE standards and procedures in the container Terminal<\/li>\n<li>To create HSE awareness and training for new and existing personnel<\/li>\n<li>To record and maintain a database of all HSE-related observations and recommend corrective actions<\/li>\n<li>To facilitate the processes involved in incident reporting and investigation<\/li>\n<li>Assist the HSE manager in implementing HSE risk management procedures<\/li>\n<li>To provide clerical support to manager for smooth functioning of department activities.<\/li>\n<li>To facilitate Safety Committee meetings and ensure meeting minutes are circulated<\/li>\n<li>To compile daily\/weekly\/monthly reports to relevant departments for reference and decision making.<\/li>\n<li>Periodically organise and implement safety drills to test emergency preparedness<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experiences:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have a Tertiary qualification in Sciences or other related fields<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience &amp; Knowledge:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least three years of experience in HSE practice in an industrial setting<\/li>\n<li>Experience in container terminal operations will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>HSE Qualifications such as HSE levels 1, 2 &amp; 3<\/li>\n<li>In-depth knowledge of HSE legislation and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in all Microsoft Applications.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Good organisational and analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Good public speaking skills<\/li>\n<li>Must hold a valid Driver&#8217;s license with driving experience<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prepare relevant technical reports, bulletins, and newsletters<\/li>\n<li>Possesses efficient communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the right work attitude<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Major Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accountability: Take full ownership and show an excellent example with regards to HSE<\/li>\n<li>Hazard Identification: Ability to identify potential hazards in operational process and within the facility<\/li>\n<li>Incident investigation: Conduct a practical analysis of incidents and implement corrective actions<\/li>\n<li>Effective Communication: Clear communication of safety issues to all levels of employees &amp; contractors<\/li>\n<li>Training: To develop and deliver effective HSE training programs<\/li>\n<li>Computer skills: Excellent use of computer applications to provide technical reports and analysis<\/li>\n<li>Integrity: Adhering to a code of standards or values.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Dimension:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Working Areas:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Indoor \/ Outdoor: Indoor &amp;
