We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Market Risk Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos (Head Office)<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Permanent<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Objective(s):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Measurement, monitoring and controlling of the market risks to which the Group is exposed.<\/li>\n<li>Implement consistent Market Risk Management policies and procedures across the Group.<\/li>\n<li>Minimize Position and Trading Losses<\/li>\n<li>Achieve high levels of Customer Satisfaction<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Roles &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scan financial markets for relevant data to positions held by the bank, both financial and regulatory.<\/li>\n<li>Collect internal data for the head office and subsidiaries through the Bank\u2019s operating systems.<\/li>\n<li>Data collection from various market intelligence reports that impact the Bank\u2019s position.<\/li>\n<li>Collect bank data to identify the Bank\u2019s market positions.<\/li>\n<li>Collect market data with reference to the various positions in order to be able to make comparisons.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare daily reports which show the position of the Bank, highlighting areas of concern and areas requiring improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor set limits for compliance for the bank.<\/li>\n<li>Circulate reports to concerned parties and escalation of issues where the need arises.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare other Market Risk Reports.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare revaluation report for both the Held for Trading and Available for Sale portfolio of the Bank.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare Value-at-Risk Reports for the bank.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare Sensitivity Analysis for Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange portfolios \u2013 bank.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor deals consummated by treasury.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare Derivatives Valuation Report for the bank.<\/li>\n<li>Provide support in the preparation of GALCO Reports \u2013 bank.<\/li>\n<li>Provide support in the preparation of Group Risk Management Report \u2013 bank.<\/li>\n<li>Provide support in the preparation of Market Risk Snapshots for the Chairman \u2013 bank.<\/li>\n<li>Provide support in the Preparation of Board Reports \u2013 bank.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in any field.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge and Skills Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic accounting.<\/li>\n<li>Understand banking operations.<\/li>\n<li>Good grasp of balance sheet mapping .<\/li>\n<li>Above-average database management abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Highly numerate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Candidate&#8217;s Profile:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Our ideal candidate must have knowledge of accounting, and banking operations functions and be highly numerate.<\/li>\n<li>Must be analytical with good oral and written communication, and have good database management skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What we expect from you:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High degree of professional ethics, integrity and responsibility.<\/li>\n<li>Highly organised, proactive, ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks assigned.<\/li>\n<li>Team player with the ability to work under pressure and ability to work with a wide variety of people and maintain an excellent business relationship.<\/li>\n<li>High sense of confidentiality and discreteness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What you should expect from us:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Our corporate culture is defined by our core values.
