We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Corporate and Commercial \/ Intellectual Property (Technology) Lawyer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<\/p>\n<p><strong>Role Overview:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are seeking a highly qualified mid-level Associate to join our Corporate and Commercial\/Intellectual Property (Technology) practice.<\/li>\n<li>Candidates must share our values of collegiality, acquiring the skillset for cutting-edge work and seek to make the practice rewarding both professionally and personally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><br \/>\nIn this role the successful candidate would be expected to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct research on various relevant legal issues as it affects compliance with the statutory regulations, applicable legislations, agreements and legal issues affecting the Firm\u2019s Start-Up clients.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with appropriate regulatory authorities on behalf of the Start-Ups on legal matters.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the negotiation and settlement of disputes, if any.<\/li>\n<li>Support in the preparation and filing of regulatory returns in compliance with the provision of the Nigeria law, local requirements and regulatory guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure proper filing and record keeping of documents.<\/li>\n<li>Will be responsible for the full range of legal responsibilities associated with commercial transactions of the Start-Ups including negotiating commercial contracts, addressing legal queries across various aspects of the law, compliance, intellectual property, privacy, and employment; collaborating with fellow attorneys to develop and maintain templates, negotiation practices, and escalation procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Any other duties as may be assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><br \/>\nSuccessful applicants in this role would typically have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The ability to work without supervision and multitask<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of Corporate law and document preparation, anti-trust laws, and regulatory agency procedures, and contract negotiation and preparation.<\/li>\n<li>Should have at least two (2) years\u2019 experience as a lawyer combined with expertise in this area of legal practice (e.g., antitrust, mergers and acquisitions, contracts and commercial law, securities law, privacy law, technology law, or employment and labor law).<\/li>\n<li>Superior writing and research skills.<\/li>\n<li>An excellent eye for detail and discrepancies<\/li>\n<li>Excellent time management skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong prioritization and organization skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to handle confidential information<\/li>\n<li>Strong flexibility and adaptability skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to be proactive and take the initiative<\/li>\n<li>Interface with clients and HNIs<\/li>\n<li>The ability and willingness to report regularly and effectively with senior members on the team is required.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to manage cases and assignments efficiently and effectively<\/li>\n<li>High service-orientation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s in it for you?<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>You can expect:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attractive remuneration<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity to build on knowledge and experience in the field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3cU3D9P\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong>31st August, 2022.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BFA &amp; Co Legal was established in 2018 and is headquartered in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
