We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Backend Engineer &#8211; Routing &amp; Switching<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lekki, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-Time<br \/>\n<strong>Department:<\/strong> Engineering &#8211; TPS<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are looking for a Backend Engineer &#8211; Routing &amp; Switching who will manage the building of cutting-edge Payment Solutions for our customers by combining global payment processing, fraud management, payment security and reporting systems.<\/li>\n<li>Architecting and building a global, state of the art, massive scale, real-time payment processing platform. Build new, improve and manage existing integrations and applications with external partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><br \/>\nWhat your day-to-day activities will be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Research and implement best practices technology frameworks\/capability models that will control costs, provide higher quality, and\/or increase reliability<\/li>\n<li>Research and stay abreast of the latest technology infrastructure and processes in the payment industry<\/li>\n<li>Career mentoring, coaching and development of a talented group of engineers<\/li>\n<li>Design, develop and deliver code that can support new product features\/enhancements in an agile environment<\/li>\n<li>Develop customer-facing applications using RESTful APIs<\/li>\n<li>Create database schemas that represent and support new products\/ enhancements<\/li>\n<li>Maintain quality and ensure optimum performance of developed applications.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate in design and development with the rest of the team.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain code integrity, organization, versioning, and apply object-oriented design principles<\/li>\n<li>Carry out unit tests of developed applications as well as set up automated testing of applications to ensure correctness, robustness, and scalability<\/li>\n<li>Work with frontend designers and converting designs to visual elements.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain code and application security at all times. Ensure data protection.<\/li>\n<li>Develop applications in back-end programming languages like Java, .NET, PHP as well as web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Jquery<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><br \/>\nRequired competency and skillset to be a Waver:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In-depth knowledge and understanding of the organization&#8217;s strategy, product, and service offerings<\/li>\n<li>In-depth understanding of both front-end and back-end languages, and SEO standards<\/li>\n<li>Excellent Data structures and algorithms as well as creative skills to apply them in solving problems<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of database and ORM technologies<\/li>\n<li>Ability and interest to quickly learn new languages and technologies<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organizational and people management skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting and quality assurance skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent time management and analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent agile delivery knowledge including branching, testing and continuous development.
