We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Nutrition Program Intern<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Adamawa<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Contract<\/p>\n<p><strong>Role Purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The role of Nutrition Program Intern is to provide support to the nutrition community volunteers in the Project\u2019s Communities in implementing the nutrition interventions (Community Management of Malnutrition, Infant and Young Child Feeding, Water, sanitation and Hygiene and Enhance home stead food production).<\/li>\n<li>Throughout the intervention, the Nutrition Interns will work towards ensuring quality delivery of nutrition interventions in the Project locations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Deliverables:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure quality nutrition screening for children under-5 conducted by Health workers in target Communities.<\/li>\n<li>With support from the Program Officer\/Program Associate, ensure quality cooking food demonstration sessions are conducted in Project supported Communities.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that community nutrition interventions (MUAC screening and Referral, IYCF (MSGs, food demonstrations) and hygiene promotion are integrated<\/li>\n<li>Build capacity of community volunteers (model mom and adolescent girls mentors) by providing on-the-job training on CMAM, IYCF and EHFP.<\/li>\n<li>Support Project level nutrition assessment\/surveys as approved by Donor.<\/li>\n<li>Support quality data collection of activities conducted in the Communities.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure quality and timely reporting on all areas of implementation<\/li>\n<li>Support the development of case studies and success stories from programme implementation.<\/li>\n<li>Any other additional responsibility as communicated by the supervisor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications, Experience and Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Nutrition, Health, Public Health or any related fields.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Nutrition and community-based programming will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills and a willingness to be respectful, kind, sensitive and empathize with all beneficiaries<\/li>\n<li>Good communication skills (verbal and written).<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in written and spoken English<\/li>\n<li>Understands Hausa<\/li>\n<li>Acceptable IT Skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>To Apply:<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their Cover Letter and Resume to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:nigeria.recruitment@hki.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nigeria.recruitment@hki.org<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong><br \/>\n13th September, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Helen Keller International is a global health organization dedicated to eliminating preventable vision loss, malnutrition and diseases of poverty.
