Apply Now!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>n, a new modern 4 Star Hotel located in Yola, Adamawa State, is recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: General Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Yola, Adamawa<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The GM is the overall strategic business leader responsible for all operational aspects of the hotel such as guests satisfaction, sales and revenue, financial performance, human resource management and delivering a good return on investment.<\/li>\n<li>The GM is actively involved in the local community and builds strong relationships with local officials, businesses, and customers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Specific Responsibilities:<\/strong><br \/>\nDevelopment of the Hotel&#8217;s Business Strategy :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stays current with industry trends and monitors strengths and weakness of competition; explores new business opportunities; develops and execute business plans to exploit the opportunities to maximize customer satisfaction, profitability, and market share;<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for getting the management team to successfully deliver the business plans; introduce new ideas and innovations to improve guest satisfaction and profitability;<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and evaluate performance for continued improvement in the physical and operational aspects of the hotel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Sales and Marketing:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop revenue generating strategies for the hotel and ensure the marketing teams achieve set objectives;<\/li>\n<li>Identifies new business leads, develops tailored sales approach, and actively pursues leads with Sales and Marketing team;<\/li>\n<li>Validates that sales and marketing strategy is aligned with brand strategy and is effectively executed against established goals;<\/li>\n<li>Verifies that property leaders understand and leverage Marriott demand engines to full potential; augments guest preference for property through booking ease and quality interactions with sales force.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Talent Management and Organizational Capability:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Creates a cohesive and high-performance workforce that continuously achieve set objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Creates learning and development opportunities for employees; and ensures all managers are doing the same for their direct reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Business Information Analysis:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reviews business related data such as market share, financial performance, inventory, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction and ensure that the hoteloperates within budgetary guidelines, and achieves profit margin goals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Revenue Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Established revenue strategy that supports the hotel\u2019s positioning in lthe market.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Owner Relations:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provides owners with in-depth analysis of property performance, incorporating guest, financial and employee business data;<\/li>\n<li>Periodically submit performance report to the owners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Customer and Public Relations Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Interacts and obtain feedback from guests to recognize outstanding employee service performance and improve service delivery;<\/li>\n<li>Establishes presence in the market by actively promoting an exemplary hotel image,<\/li>\n<li>Anticipates needs of large groups or high profile guests in order to deliver flawless service;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the hotel attain the appropriate publicity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Candidate Profile:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Education and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree from an accredited University in Business Administration, Hotel Management, or related area;
