We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Legal Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Kirikiri Apapa, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<br \/>\n<strong>Industries \/ Sector:<\/strong> Agriculture, Steel, Agro &#8211; Chemical<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Draft a wide variety of legal agreements.<\/li>\n<li>Provide advice on corporate legal issues and business matters.<\/li>\n<li>Provide internal advisory services to the business units and departments within the Company.<\/li>\n<li>Provide commercial legal support to all departmental projects and job functions.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the development of service level agreements for service support and delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor the maintenance of the registers and other records required to be maintained by the Company under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA).<\/li>\n<li>Provide all such other administrative and other secretarial duties as directed by the Legal Counsel &amp; Company Secretary.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the development of guidelines, policies, procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze and review legal agreements, legislation and documents for the Board.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure (internal &amp; external) compliance with laid down guidelines, policies and procedures; investigate issues of non-compliance as may be required.<\/li>\n<li>Review and advice management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Any other duties as may be assigned.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with management to devise efficient defense strategies<\/li>\n<li>Specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance<\/li>\n<li>Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations<\/li>\n<li>Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.), creating relations of trust<\/li>\n<li>Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company\u2019s fulllegal rights<\/li>\n<li>Conduct your work with integrity and responsibility<\/li>\n<li>Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.Sc Degree in Law or J.D.
