We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Finance Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Role:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are looking for an experienced Finance Officer\u00a0who will provide support to the Finance Team by managing daily accounting and financial tasks.<\/li>\n<li>You will compile reports, prepare, maintain and reconcile financial statements and other financial documents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Managing the full spectrum of financial accounting and reporting &#8211; driving accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closing.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain schedules to track &amp; manage PPE, accrued &amp; prepaid exp, related party transactions, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions<\/li>\n<li>Review invoices and other payment requests for appropriate approvals, adequacy of budget cover, the validity of claims, and relevant supporting documents<\/li>\n<li>Financial planning \/ forecasting, risk analyzing and periodic budgets and subsequent variance analysis on prepared budgets against actuals.<\/li>\n<li>Review and reconcile relevant tax accounts \u2013 VAT, WHT, PAYE, etc. to ensure completeness, accuracy, and validity<\/li>\n<li>Compute and file tax returns to relevant tax authorities including related reports to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations<\/li>\n<li>Administer petty cash disbursement and reconciliation<\/li>\n<li>Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count\/physical inventories<\/li>\n<li>Periodically review the organization\u2019s financial reports and identify opportunities for cost reduction.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with team members to solve any issues faced by chargeback and settlement departments.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure daily processing of outgoing dispute actions and on-time response of incoming disputes.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with gateway platforms to solve pending issues and reply to their inquiries.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with the system support team to report problems and recommend system enhancements &amp; automation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HND \/ Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Finance, Accounting\u00a0or\u00a0a related field.<\/li>\n<li>1 &#8211; 3 years of experience working as a Finance Officer<\/li>\n<li>Professional accounting qualification (ICAN, ACCA, CIMA) is an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Strong use of Quickbooks\/ Sage accounting ERP, Excel and Google suite proficiency<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of financial and accounting procedures<\/li>\n<li>Comprehensive Knowledge and Application of Nigerian Tax Laws<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent collaboration and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Great analytical and problem-solving abilities<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and understanding of payment scheme operations (gateway platforms)<\/li>\n<li>Experience working in a Big 4 is is an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>To Apply:<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/hire.peoplehum.com\/jobs\/gokada-careers\/00b82934-168b-4955-86db-1f86283a481d?source_name=PEOPLEHUM_EXTERNAL\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong><br \/>\nNot Specified.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gokada is a leading technology startup in Africa&#8217;s largest economy, Nigeria, and has the potential to become one of the most impactful companies in Africa.
