We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Optometrist<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Overview:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Optometrist is responsible for performing vision tests and analyzing results. He\/she is responsible for diagnosing sight problems and prescribing eyeglasses and other visual aids.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collect and enter patients data into the database( Acuitas) daily<\/li>\n<li>Provides outpatient care for patients with eye-related conditions.<\/li>\n<li>Conducts routine eye examinations, including glaucoma screening.<\/li>\n<li>Identifies safety factors that could impact vision and educates patients<\/li>\n<li>Refraction and prescribing the best corrective lenses to suit patients visual needs<\/li>\n<li>Assists patients in the selection of frames.<\/li>\n<li>Contact lens fitting and care, including explaining to patients how to clean and wear contact lenses.<\/li>\n<li>Promotes eye health by educating and counseling patients on eye related issues.<\/li>\n<li>Dispenses eye drops for the patients with minor ocular pathologies.<\/li>\n<li>Measures parameters for lens fitting e.g., wrap angle, BVD, fitting height, pupillary distance and pantoscopic tilt.<\/li>\n<li>Orders lenses from optical vendors.<\/li>\n<li>Reads off lens prescriptions using the focimeter, to ensure they have the accurate prescription and are properly fitted before dispensing.<\/li>\n<li>Issues prescriptions for spectacles and contact lenses<\/li>\n<li>Meets sales target with regards to selling of frames and lenses.<\/li>\n<li>Participates in routine eye screenings for children.<\/li>\n<li>Organizes clinical trainings for colleagues in the office.<\/li>\n<li>Writes referrals for patients who require further care.<\/li>\n<li>Liaises with sales representatives who sell vision care products. \u2022 Assists the Ophthalmologist during her consultation sessions.<\/li>\n<li>Follows up on patients to remind them of their appointments and also ensures they are comfortable with their spectacle prescription.<\/li>\n<li>Send end of day report to management team (Optometrist on duty)<\/li>\n<li>Carry out quality assurance on all lenses received from supplier (Ensure that the lens does not have any distortions or visible scratches and that lens meets all customers specifications)<\/li>\n<li>Carry out quality control on all finished jobs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Candidates should possess a Bachelor&#8217;s Degree qualification with 2 &#8211; 3 years work experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge and Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be tech savvy<\/li>\n<li>High level of professionalism.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organizational, problem solving, and time management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Must understand mathematical and scientific information<\/li>\n<li>Effective communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Detail oriented<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to adapt quickly to new technologies and equipment<\/li>\n<li>Ability to maintain high levels of concentration<\/li>\n<li>High level of emotional intelligence<\/li>\n<li>Should be able to work with children<\/li>\n<li>Good organizational and administrative skills<\/li>\n<li>Able to explain instructions in simple terms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary:<\/strong><br \/>\nN150,000 &#8211; N180,000 \/ month.<\/p>\n<p><b>To Apply:<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their Resume to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:hr@visionsopticals.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hr@visionsopticals.com<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using &#8220;Optometrist&#8221; as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong><br \/>\n3rd October, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Visions Opticals &#8211; We pride ourselves on excellent quality, maintaining key relationships with industry leaders and staying close to the edge of frame technology enhancements.
