We are recruiting to fill the position of:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: IP \/ Core Network Specialist<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Victoria Island, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Full Time<br \/>\n<strong>Division:<\/strong> Technical<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Type:<\/strong> Permanent<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The IP Networks Specialist is responsible for designing and optimizing the Core IP network which supports various connectivity solutions such as internet, L2\/L3VPN, IP Telephony, Data Center Managed &amp; Hosted services, IPTV and VoIP.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with other departments to develop the corporate objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technological innovation to improve core network processes and network support for new products.<\/li>\n<li>Develop overall Core network project planning, delivery, and update of the project implementation milestone.<\/li>\n<li>Regularly review of core and distribution network design with a view to optimize the network.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for configuring core and edge routers for design implementation as well as BTS integration<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for maintaining BGP peering with Upstream providers and downstream clients<\/li>\n<li>Provide high-level network performance report to the Management and recommend on areas of improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the public IPv4 and IPv6 resources on AFRINIC and Peering DB.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical solutions to network issues escalated beyond the 2nd level Support and Network Operations expertise<\/li>\n<li>Provide IP address planning and management of IP address database for the entire core, distribution and access network<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the core and distribution network bandwidth capacity<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for maintaining bandwidth policies on the PE devices.<\/li>\n<li>Attend network project &amp; departmental meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Provide inputs to the departmental annual budget.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education, Qualification &amp; Work Experience:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Qualifications &amp; Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree \/ HND in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Electronics Engineering or related field.<\/li>\n<li>Network experience in an ISP environment or a Systems Integration company with specialization in enterprise and service provider routing and switching solutions<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years work experience in a relevant role.<\/li>\n<li>At least 3 years practical experience in managing and implementing network solutions using OSPF, ISIS and BGP routing protocols<\/li>\n<li>At least 3 years\u2019 experience in deploying MPLS L2VPN and L3VPN solutions for clients<\/li>\n<li>Relationship &amp; People Management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Certifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CCNP Routing &amp; Switching\/Service Provider Core<\/li>\n<li>Affiliation with relevant professional bodies Cisco<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cisco Routing, &amp; Switching<\/li>\n<li>Core Network Planning and Implementation<\/li>\n<li>Good communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Project Management skills<\/li>\n<li>People Management Skills (Employees, Team, Vendors and Customers)<\/li>\n<li>Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Good organizational and time management skills<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and experience with Microsoft software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Project, and Outlook.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to analyses and interpret detailed technical solution and implement into network planning document.<\/li>\n<li>Ability and willingness to work long hours and meet tight deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage various network protection schemes namely MESH and RING etc.<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of SDH, Carrier Ethernet Technology, quality of service and network management concepts is necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>To Apply:<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:career@estreamnetworks.net\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">career@estreamnetworks.net<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>Not Specified.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>e.Stream Networks Limited, an ISO9001 Quality Certified company is a licensed broadband communications provider dedicated to providing suitable connectivity solutions for businesses.
