We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Trainee Calibration Technician<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Ikeja, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Major Areas of Responsibility:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trainees will work with other technicians within the lab to learn calibration fundamentals which can include measurement, temperature, electronics, etc<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Primary Objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Learn fundamental calibration techniques and processes<\/li>\n<li>Develop skills necessary to perform calibrations independently<\/li>\n<li>Develop skills necessary to advance to calibration technician I position within one year which includes proficiency in at least one discipline<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities<\/strong>:<br \/>\nTo be considered for a technician trainee position, the following knowledge, skills, and abilities are preferred<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to learn new skills in regard to calibration and calibration processes<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience with electronic or machining training<\/li>\n<li>Basic mathematical skills including algebra, geometry, and statistics<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with basic tools<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with office computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook<\/li>\n<li>Basic organizational and time management skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of Higher National Diploma in Physical Science (Physics, Chemistry etc.) or\u00a0Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical,\u00a0Chemical or Process)<\/li>\n<li>Experience (Industrial Attachment) in a manufacturing or production environment will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Additional Information:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Physical Demands:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an\u00a0employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.<\/li>\n<li>While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear.<\/li>\n<li>The employee\u00a0is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle tools and equipment<\/li>\n<li>The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and\u00a0stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.<\/li>\n<li>The employee will be required to do some heavy lifting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>To Apply:<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/jobs.smartrecruiters.com\/Selfa2\/743999855098621-trainee-calibration-technician\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply online<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong><br \/>\nNot Specified.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Selfa Nigeria Limited &#8211; We design and implement solutions to enhance the performance of instrumentation, systems and software used in industrial process control and factory automation.
