We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Database Administrator<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To ensure that the Database is maintained and monitored for effective performance, carry out on-going system maintenance to support the efficient day-day running of the organization\u2019s current and future business.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Database Administration<\/li>\n<li>Develop and enforce database standards, guidelines and operational policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Review physical structures and migration plans.<\/li>\n<li>Review necessary storage media with System Administrator.<\/li>\n<li>Review SQL performance and Tuning.<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing application&#8217;s access to the database structures<\/li>\n<li>Review, where required, the purge\/archive criteria.<\/li>\n<li>Develop backs and recovery plan adhering to risks policies.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in developing purge\/archive criteria and procedures for historical application data.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and tune memory usage for Oracle databases.<\/li>\n<li>Implement, maintain, and test backup &amp; recovery strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Create instances and databases with appropriate initialization parameters and database structures (i.e., datafiles, rollback segments, tablespaces, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Review and monitor system and instance resources to insure continuous database operations (i.e., database storage, memory, CPU, network usage, and I\/O contention.<\/li>\n<li>Developing &amp; maintaining naming standards for database objects such as tablespaces, tables, indexes &amp; views.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BSc in Computer Science, Electrical \/ Computer Engineering or any other related discipline.<\/li>\n<li>4-5 years experience as a Database Administrator.
