We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Field Coordinator<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Damaturu, Yobe<br \/>\n<strong>Requisition ID:<\/strong> req32122<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:\u00a0<\/strong>Full Time<br \/>\n<strong>Sector:<\/strong>\u00a0Operations<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Category:\u00a0<\/strong>Fixed Term<br \/>\n<strong>Open to Expatriates:<\/strong>\u00a0No<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> Deputy Director of Field Management<br \/>\n<strong>Directly Supervises:<\/strong> Local leads for Finance, HR-Admin, IT, Security, and Supply Chain<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Overview \/ Summary:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Yobe Field Coordinator (FC) leads IRC\u2019s response in Yobe State and its respective field sites, including some program in LGAs outside of the state capital. As the most senior representative in this area of operations, the FC is responsible for the implementation of all program and operations activities in the project locations.<\/li>\n<li>The FC should have a good top-level knowledge and understanding of all activities in their location, in particular the constraints faced by their team, and be actively working with their teams to manage and trouble shoot problems as they arise.<\/li>\n<li>Oversight responsibilities include both operations and programs.\u00a0 Operational oversight includes security, human resources and administration, supply chain, IT and finance.\u00a0 Program oversight includes current programs in health, nutrition, environmental health (EH), ERD, protection (child protection, WPE, PRoL) and education.<\/li>\n<li>The Yobe Field Coordinator will be based \u00a0in Damaturu with frequent travel to communities served and to other states as deemed necessary.<\/li>\n<li>The successful candidate will be confident, articulate, organized and able to represent IRC to partners including beneficiaries, community leaders, CSOs and donors as well as handle sensitive, complex issues in a diplomatic way that puts the needs of beneficiaries first.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Major Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure all IRC staff, programs, and operations in Yobe state are covered by effective security management;<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate implementation of programming, in collaboration with Technical Coordinators\/Managers;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure efficient operations (supply chain, HR, IT, finance) to support programming;<\/li>\n<li>External coordination to ensure IRC\u2019s position is understood, protected and advanced;<\/li>\n<li>Team management of diverse programs and operations staff;<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with members of IRC Nigeria\u2019s Senior Management Team and the Country Leadership Group to ensure information sharing, reporting, and implementation of country program policies and strategic action plan.<\/li>\n<li>Follow up and update the County Program on evolving context and beneficiary humanitarian, early recovery and development needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Working Relationships:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Yobe Field Coordinator reports to the Deputy Director of Field Management and is a member of the Country Leadership Group.<\/li>\n<li>The Field Coordinator maintains a close and communicative working relationship with the Deputy Director of Programs for proposal development, grants and partnerships management, and monitoring and evaluation, and with the Deputy Director of Operations for Supply Chain, HR and IT and with Humanitarian Access, Safety and Security Coordinator for staff safety and security issues. Also the FC will maintain close working relationship with the Emergency Preparedness and Response Coordinator.<\/li>\n<li>The FC must also maintain close working relationships with the Senior Program Coordinators, the Grants Team and the various technical and operational support leads.\u00a0 Local heads of operations (Finance, HR-Admin, IT, Security, and Supply Chain) in Yobe State will report to the Yobe Field Coordinator in MiP with their respective technical support leads. The FC will also have an informal oversight on programs leads for Health, Nutrition, EH, ERD, PRoL, WPE, Child Protection, Education and M&amp;E in his\/her respective location.<\/li>\n<li>Position Reports to: Deputy Director of Field Management<\/li>\n<li>Position directly Supervises: Local leads for Finance, HR-Admin, IT, Security, and Supply Chain<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Internal Contacts:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Country Program:Deputy Director of Field Management and the Country Director<\/li>\n<li>Region\/Global: With leads of HR, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Safety and Security and GEDI as needed<\/li>\n<li>Key External Contacts: IRC clients, UN agencies, INGOs, LNGOs, LGA and State government authorities, traditional, religious and community leaders, and donors, as required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s Degree preferred (Management related or General Operations preferred).<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of five (5) years\u2019 experience managing operations and\/or projects in INGOs in developing countries, preferably in Africa.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated management and leadership skills, including team management and staff development.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in field office management, including programs, supply chain, HR, administration and security management, preferably in conflict-impacted settings;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent management, organizational, interpersonal, and cross-cultural communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills, preferably including negotiations and conflict resolution skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong socio-political analysis skills, with demonstrated ability to assess the impact of dynamic contexts on an INGO, and vice versa.<\/li>\n<li>Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook, Power Point.<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility, ability to work independently and meet deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English and knowledge of local languages is an asset<\/li>\n<li>Ability to Travel at least for 25 % of time to field sites in Adamawa State, Southern Borno and other locations as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>To Apply:<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/rescue.csod.com\/ux\/ats\/careersite\/1\/home\/requisition\/32122?c=rescue\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply online<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong><br \/>\nNot Specified.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world\u2019s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives.
