Carbon has operations in Ghana and Nigeria, supported by a talented team spread between Lagos, Nairobi, London, Argentina, and Palo Alto so we operate with a remote-first mindset.\u00a0 We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Team Lead, Business Intelligence &amp; Analytics<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Remote<br \/>\n<strong>Category:<\/strong>\u00a0Business Intelligence<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Job:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are looking for someone with the ability to deliver elegant and insightful analytics solutions that meet the needs of the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Candidates would have the ability\u00a0to design metrics and KPIs, build queries using data from multiple data sources, use BI tools to create dashboards, and\u00a0identify trends and provide insights to support business decision making.<\/li>\n<li>The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, accountability, flexibility and adaptability to handle multiple and changing priorities, and be able to effectively collaborate with different teams.<\/li>\n<li>The role is responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of critical business intelligence initiatives and projects that will contribute to strategic decision-making across the company.<\/li>\n<li>Manages and coaches Data Stewards, Data Engineers and Business Intelligence Analysts, by planning, explaining and reviewing tasks with the team, establishing objectives, prioritizing activities and allocating resources.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create and design specifications for business intelligence requirements<\/li>\n<li>Acquire, allocate and optimize the use of resources<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and track the team\u2019s achievements and key performance indicators.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise requirements traceability information and record requirements status in the course of the projects<\/li>\n<li>Translate analysis into common business language to influence business decisions or actions<\/li>\n<li>Develop roadmaps for optimizing the BI analysis insights<\/li>\n<li>Define the structure and tools to be applied in conceptualisation, design and building of visual dashboards and graphs<\/li>\n<li>Review operational strategies, policies and targets across teams and projects with the objective of Identifying the data\/ analytics problems that offer the greatest opportunities to the organization<\/li>\n<li>Provide guidance on best practices related to BI data governance including the definition of data quality metrics and the monitoring of data quality reviews<\/li>\n<li>Explore, recommend and lead the implementation of new Business Intelligence platforms in collaboration with other business units such as Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, Product and Risk<\/li>\n<li>Effectively communicate actionable insights of business performance and trends across a diverse audience for other business units teams to incorporate into their decision making at all levels of the organization<\/li>\n<li>Manage the team performance including providing coaching and development opportunities to maximize the potential of each individual.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You should apply if:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The work we\u2019re doing sounds exciting!<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019re passionate about Data.<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019re familiar with SQL and Business Intelligence Tools.<\/li>\n<li>You want to help build, scale and operate a platform to support a product that you (and everyone you know) use or will use every day.<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019re keen to learn more about new technologies and the arcane inner workings of the financial industry.<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019re comfortable working in a hybrid schema, both remotely and on-site.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Studies, or related field\u00a0 with 7+ years of professional experience.<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience as Business Intelligence leader or manager<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience with SQL and BI Tools for data analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Firm understanding of statistics and databases.<\/li>\n<li>Expert problem-solving and analytical skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits:<\/strong><br \/>\nAt Carbon, people are the heart of the business, so we prioritize their welfare.
