We are recruiting skilled, reliable and efficient candidates to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Occupational Health &amp; Safety Coordinator<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A safety coordinator is responsible for monitoring the working conditions at a mid to large sized company to ensure that all activity is compliant with state\/federal safety regulations and ISO standards.<\/li>\n<li>The job description of a safety coordinator involves enforcing company health and safety guidelines, inspecting workspaces to ensure they are up to safety standards, and providing workplace safety training.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trains employees in safety procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Designs methods for appraising safety conditions in warehouses, project sites, or offices.<\/li>\n<li>Inspects working conditions to ensure all products and activities are compliant with safety guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Oversees use of dangerous chemicals and machinery.<\/li>\n<li>Writes up reports detailing inspection process.<\/li>\n<li>Suggests revisions to production methods and employee activity that does not meet health and safety codes.<\/li>\n<li>Recalls defective and unsafe products and machinery.<\/li>\n<li>Orders safety gear and supplies for workplace.<\/li>\n<li>Stays up to date on new state and federal health and safety regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Runs emergency drills to gauge employee readiness.<\/li>\n<li>Consults with company manager regarding the implementation of new safety procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Addresses any workplace-related health issues and accidents.<\/li>\n<li>Processes workers compensation documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Works with legal department to address any health and safety-related lawsuits.<\/li>\n<li>Writes and revises company safety handbook.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Engineering or science or Occupational Health &amp; Safety<\/li>\n<li>OHSA certification is required.<\/li>\n<li>Previous work experience in the building services field is required.<\/li>\n<li>Management experience is preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>To Apply:<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@marandmor.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>recruitment@marandmor.com<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong><br \/>\n17th October, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:\u00a0<\/strong>Only successful candidates will be contacted and late entries will not be entertained.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MAR&amp;MOR Engineering Services Limited is a building services company, passionate about customer satisfaction, best practices and standards compliance.
