We are recruiting a talented, creative and editorially sound candidate to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Social Media Producer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Abuja<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full Time<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> Online Editor<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summary:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Social Media producer handles the social media and audience engagement of both Daily Trust contents across different platforms, reporting directly to the team lead and the Online editor.<\/li>\n<li>He\/She distributes content and engages our readers on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and newer platforms.<\/li>\n<li>The ideal candidate should have some level of video editing skills and the ability to produce appealing visual content for different social media platforms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Roles:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work closely with online editors to share stories on social media platforms<\/li>\n<li>Uploads stories from the CMS.<\/li>\n<li>Identify, plan and execute data-driven, creative, measurable social media and community engagement activities.<\/li>\n<li>Create\u00a0copies for paid and organic social media, banner ads, publicity materials, and e-newsletters to build an audience and drive engagement.<\/li>\n<li>Implement the membership engagement programmes for retention of current members and acquisition of new subscribers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thorough understanding of social media journalism and the ability to create visually appealing content, including lives and other engaging formats.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work well as part of a diverse team \u2013 with editors, producers and other journalists.<\/li>\n<li>Thorough knowledge of the Nigerian media landscape and its challenges and prospects.<\/li>\n<li>Thorough knowledge of, and interest in, local, regional, and national as well as, where appropriate, international news and current affairs.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to work without supervision and under pressure, and deliver against tight deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>At least three-year experience in a newsroom setting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/career2.dailytrustepaper.com\/job\/social-media-producer\/#.Y2P8MOzMLrd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply online<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong><br \/>\nNot Specified.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Media Trust Limited, owners of Daily Trust, Aminiya and Trust TV, is one of the leading players in the Nigerian media industry.
