We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Professor, Computer Science<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Remote<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>What You\u2019ll Do:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are hiring a Professor of Computer Science to focus on teaching and curriculum development. This is a full-time, non-tenure track, teaching faculty position with no requirements of research.<\/li>\n<li>This is Kibo\u2019s\u00a0first\u00a0CS professor hire, and will be a core member of our academic team who will partner with\u00a0Keno\u00a0(CAO) and\u00a0Rob\u00a0(CS Curriculum) to define and execute on Kibo\u2019s academic vision.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Specifically, you will:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build cutting-edge CS curricula that give learners a strong theoretical and practical foundation in computer science\n<ul>\n<li>Curate and create learning materials, help monitor\/assess curriculum effectiveness, and contribute to improvements<\/li>\n<li>Design synchronous and asynchronous active learning experiences that foster collaboration<\/li>\n<li>Analyze curricula effectiveness, and make iterative improvements based on feedback and student performance<\/li>\n<li>Inform the procurement and\/or development of learning tools, and collaborate with technology teams to design, build, and assess learning tools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and teach Computer Science courses with approved curricula\n<ul>\n<li>Hold synchronous, virtual class sessions and office hours with learners<\/li>\n<li>Interact with learners online via discussion forums, chat, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Provide personalized and substantive feedback on learner work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Serve as a mentor for learners, and offer your unique personal and professional insights to help them grow<\/li>\n<li>Create an engaging, challenging, and supportive online learning environment for learners, and help Kibo achieve its goals for student learning and retention<\/li>\n<li>Build a collaborative academic team that supports adjunct faculty and teaching assistants<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain relationships with industry and academic partners, remain current in your academic discipline and maintain any licensure or continuing education requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Who You Are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excited by Kibo\u2019s mission and learning principles:\u00a0you want to help us reach thousands of students, and share our belief in active, relevant, peer-oriented learning<\/li>\n<li>Eager to build from scratch:\u00a0we are a startup institution in full learning and iteration mode.
