We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Team Lead, Internal Audit and Risk Management<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implement approved internal audit strategies for all VDT processes<\/li>\n<li>Monitor the effectiveness of established business control policies, processes and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Identify improvement opportunities, and weaknesses in controls and devise strategies to strengthen processes<\/li>\n<li>Review and assess VDT processes<\/li>\n<li>Development and implementation of the risk-based annual audit plan<\/li>\n<li>Identify key risks and related controls within the audit process<\/li>\n<li>Lead specific audits to investigate adherence to policies, procedures, and legal\/ regulatory requirements to identify and evaluate exposures and correct defective processes<\/li>\n<li>Reviews and assesses the effectiveness, efficiency, confidentiality, integrity, availability, compliance and reliability of information systems and the data therein<\/li>\n<li>Performs follow-up audits on recommendations from prior audit reports<\/li>\n<li>Perform ad hoc assignments required by the management (e.g., investigation audits &amp; compliance audits)<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the change management process is adhered to.<\/li>\n<li>Develop strategies for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions<\/li>\n<li>Embrace, best practices, processes and tools to achieve quality service.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a quality assurance and improvement program that covers all aspects of the internal audit function<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and update the Risk Register.<\/li>\n<li>Collate information on risk management activities.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct a risk assessment of departments, projects or functional areas within the required timeline in collaboration with risk owners, as required<\/li>\n<li>Monitor compliance and emerging issues with regulatory authorities.<\/li>\n<li>Environmental scan of regulatory issues in the industry (NCC, FIRS, LIRS) for changes.<\/li>\n<li>First degree in Accounting\/Economics\/Finance or any other related discipline<\/li>\n<li>Must be a Chartered Accountant<\/li>\n<li>Risk Management certification is an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Internal Audit and compliance certification will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Experience with the use of Audit software is a plus<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 8 years\u2019 experience<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 5 years relevant experience in internal audit risk management<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 3 years in the telecommunications industry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First Degree in Accounting \/ Economics \/ Finance or any other related discipline<\/li>\n<li>Must be a Chartered Accountant<\/li>\n<li>Risk Management certification is an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Internal Audit and compliance certification will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Experience with the use of Audit software is a plus<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 8 years\u2019 experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>To Apply:<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:hr@vdtcomms.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hr@vdtcomms.com<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>using the Job Title as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong><br \/>\n21st November, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:\u00a0<\/strong>Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VDT Communications operate one of the most advanced and reliable communication networks in the country with a broad product suite backed by trustworthy, dependable customer service.
